Magda A. Escobar is responsible for all the operations and management of Plugged In. Magda graduated from Stanford University in 1992. She started her career as a Team Leader at City Year Boston where she worked in early childhood education. She was a consultant to the Commission on National and Community Service researching effective models for delivering technical assistance and training to national service programs around the country.

Dilip Ratha currently works as an economist at the World Bank. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked as a regional economist for Asian emerging markets at Credit Agricole Indosuez, as an assistant professor at Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad, as an economist at the Policy Group, New Delhi, and as a visiting lecturer at the Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi. He has a Ph.D. in economics from Indian Statistical Institute, New Delhi.

She spent the summer after her first year of law school interning at the World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Denis Bergeron is the director of the Energy Programs Division at the Maine Public Utilities Commission. Mr. Bergeron has worked for the Maine Public Utilities Commission for over 15 years on energy issues related to both the electric and gas utility industries. Electric energy industry policy issues he has been directly involved in include planning for industry restructuring, renewable energy portfolio requirements, integrated resource planning, and efficiency programs.

During the summer of 2004 Christine studied abroad on the European Comparative Law program in London, Paris and Geneva and she conducted research for the Legal Rhetoric department and for the Public International Law and Policy Group, with whom she has an internship for the 2004-2005 school year.

Laura Simolaris is the Interim Director of the National Campaign for Political and Civic Engagement, a program that unites 19 colleges and universities around the country who are committed to creating a more civically engaged campus.
