Hugo Teufel III (born July 25, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM, and raised in Wichita, KS and Denver, CO) was appointed as Chief Privacy Officer for the U.S. Department of Homeland Security by Secretary Michael Chertoff on 21 July 2006, after a ten-month vacancy that was filled by acting Chief Privacy Officer, Maureen C. Cooney. Teufel is the second chief privacy officer for the DHS, after Nuala O'Connor Kelly, appointed by Secretary Tom Ridge.

Dan is the Data Privacy Officer for HP. In this role, he l eads HP’s efforts in integrating sound privacy principles into all aspects of the business that involve customer and partner personal information. He is also responsible for all IT privacy compliance for the company. Prior to his current position, Dan was the head of Compaq’s Privacy Office for two years. For the five prior years, he was the Compaq Information Security Manager.

Steve has been involved in Privacy industry in different capacities dating back to the introduction of Bill C-6 and its integration into the financial services industry in the late 1990’s. Steve’s ownership for customer data and related business functions has put him front and center on Privacy issues that continue to evolve as customer data flows through all aspects of our economy.

Alexander Joel , CIPP/G, Chief Privacy Officer, Office of the Director of National Intelligence Alexander W. Joel is the Civil Liberties Protection Officer for the Office of the Director of National Intelligence. In that capacity, he leads the ODNI's Civil Liberties and Privacy Office, and reports directly to the Director of National Intelligence.

Nuala O'Connor Kelly , CIPP/G Nuala O’Connor Kelly was appointed chief privacy leader of General Electric in October 2005. In that capacity, O’Connor Kelly leads global privacy policy and practice for one of the world’s largest, diversified multinational companies. Prior to joining GE, O’Connor Kelly was appointed Chief Privacy Officer of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in April 2003.

George Alvarez George has been with the Government of Alberta for the past 22 years and the Director of the Information and Privacy Office in Alberta Human Resources and Employment since 1997.

Eric Lawton , B.A., is a Senior Policy Advisor in Ontario 's Access and Privacy Office, Management Board Secretariat. He advises ministries and agencies on Ontario 's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act and the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments. Eric is the co-chair of an internal Privacy Working Group for privacy specialists.

Laure Lee May has worked for the Ontario government periodically since 1978 and in the access and privacy field since 1994. She is currently the Information and Privacy Coordinator for the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources (since 2001). She has also worked for a short period of time at the Freedom of Information and Privacy Office at the Ministry of the Attorney General.

Mona Wong is currently the Manager of Mediation for the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner/Ontario (the IPC). In this role, she oversees the mediation process in matters of access to government-held information and the protection of personal privacy. Prior to this, Mona worked for the Ministry of Health's Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Office, beginning in February 1990, in various positions.

Megan Brister , CISSP, PMP: A partner at Anzen, Megan has built a career in the data protection field where she has worked with both private and public health care organizations to develop effective and practical privacy and information security programs. Megan has conducted privacy impact assessments (PIAs) for Canadian Blood Services, Ontario Telehealth Network, and the Ontario Wait Times Strategy.
