Dr. Haq practices the full scope family medicine in Belleville and Madison. She greatly enjoys teaching and collaborating with colleagues in Wisconsin and throughout the world. One of her major areas of interest is in elder mistreatment.

    Robert Otto Valdez , PhD, conducts policy analyses and research at RAND where he is a Senior Health Scientist. He is also president of Valdez & Associates an education and management consulting firm. Dr. Valdez previously served as Dean and Professor of Health Policy and Management at the MCP Hahnemann University School of Public Health.

  7. Arthur T. Fort

    Arthur T. Fort , M.D., ABFP/ABOG Professor of Family Medicine and Comprehensive Care Department Chairman Dr. Fort received his M.D., from the University of Tennessee. Among his many appointments and accomplishments, he has served as chairman of the LSUMC-S Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and had returned to that department's faculty prior to assuming the chair of the Department of Family Medicine and Comprehensive Care in 1982.

    Lixing Lao , is a Professor of Family Medicine and the Director of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Program in the Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM), University of Maryland Baltimore (UMB), School of Medicine. He became NAF board member in 2006. He is currently a guest professor in the Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Shanghai, China.

  9. Dennis J. Baumgardner

    Dennis J. Baumgardner , MD, Family Physician, St. Luke’s Family Practice Center; Professor of Family Medicine, University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health; and Director of Campus Research, Training, and Development, Aurora UW Medical Group and Center for Urban Population Health. Former St. Luke’s Residency Program Director of seven years. Dr. Baumgardner completed his medical training at the University of Illinois and the Rockford (IL.)

  10. Kevin C. Oeffinger

    Dr. Oeffinger is a family physician, a Full Member and Attending in the Departments of Pediatrics and Internal Medicine at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, and the Director of the MSKCC Program for Adult Survivors of Pediatric Cancer. Prior to arriving at MSKCC in July 2005, he was a Professor of Family Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas and the Director of the After the Cancer Experience (ACE) Young Adult Program.

  11. Keith Frey

    Keith Frey came to faith in Christ in 1982 as the result of a Bible study with neighbors. Keith earned a BS from Virginia Military Institute, an MD from Medical College of Virginia and an MBA from Duke University. He completed his Family Medicine residency training in the USAF. He is currently the Chief Medical Information Officer and Professor of Family Medicine, Mayo Clinic Arizona.

  12. John A. Brose

    John A. Brose , D.O., is Dean and Professor of Family Medicine at the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine. For the past three years, Dr. Brose was the Chair of the Ohio Council of Medical School Deans. He received his undergraduate degree from Gettysburg College and attended the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, earning his doctor of osteopathic medicine degree.

  13. Edward J. Mayeaux

    Edward J. Mayeaux , M.D., ABFP, FAAFP Professor of Family Medicine Professor of Clinical Obstetrics and Gynecology Associate Director, Family Practice Residency Program Director, Family Medicine Cervical Dysplasia Clinic Dr. Mayeaux graduated from LSUHSC in Shreveport, where he also did his family practice residency prior to joining our faculty in 1990. Dr Mayeaux is director of research for the Department of Family Medicine.

    Dr. Carol Valois is the Director of the Charles LeMoyne Family Care Unit and Professor of Family Medicine at Sherbrooke University in Quebec. Dr. Valois has been a family physician since 1984. She is a member of the board of director of the Global Health Resource Group of the Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada.

    Lee A. Green , M.D., M.P.H. – Professor of Family Medicine, University of Michigan . Dr. Green is a family physician with 20 years of practice in Ann Arbor, Michigan, providing the full range of family practice including obstetrics and minor outpatient surgery. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan Medical School, where he is now a professor, and received his MPH from the UM School of Public Health.

    Joseph A. Lieberman III, MD, MPH, is Professor of Family Medicine at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Associate Editor of the Delaware Medical Journal. He received a bachelor of science degree from Georgetown University, his medical degree from Jefferson Medical College, and a master of public health degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey – Rutgers University.

  18. Alice Lichtenstein

    Alice Lichtenstein , director of the HNRCA’s Cardiovascular Nutrition Laboratory, has been appointed to the National Academy of Sciences, Institute of Medicine, Food Forum through December 2007. She also was appointed to the Academy of Finland Committee to Evaluate the Food and Nutrition Science Sectors.

  19. Dr Sherwood Leslie Gorbach MD

    Sherwood L. Gorbach , M.D. has served as our Senior Vice President, Chief Medical Officer since November 2005. Since 1975, Dr. Gorbach has been at Tufts University School of Medicine serving as, among other things, a Professor of Family Medicine and Community Health and a Professor in the School of Nutrition and Social Policy. Dr. Gorbach also served as Chief of Infectious Diseases at New England Medical Center from 1975 to 1987.

He is also medical director at the Tufts Health Care Institute at Tufts University Medical School and is an associate clinical professor of Family Medicine and Community Health at Tufts University School of Medicine.

    Robert Avant , MD Dr. Avant is the Current Senior Executive and Former Executive Director of the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Avant was the Founding Chairman of the Department of Family Medicine at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN, serving from 1977 to 1991. As residency director from 1977-1985, Dr. Avant developed a fully integrated family medicine training program at Mayo system.
