  2. Josh Saunders

    Josh Saunders (born March 2, 1981) is an American soccer goalkeeper who has enjoyed stints in both MLS and the USL First Division (formerly the A-League) and had split his time between Los Angeles Galaxy and the Portland Timbers prior to being released by the Galaxy during the 2007 pre-season. During his senior season at the University of California, Berkeley, he became the first keeper ever to be named Pac-10 Player of the Year.

  3. Alen Marcina

    Alen Marcina (born July 30, 1979) is a Canadian footballer currently playing as a striker for the Montreal Impact. Marcina played college soccer with Barry University before joining the Ottawa Wizards for the 2002-03 CPSL season, where he scored 9 goals in just 10 matches. When the Wizards had their license revoked by the CPSL, Marcina tried his luck in Europe and managed to land a contract with Greek giants PAOK in January, 2004.

  4. Taiwo Atieno

    Taiwo Leo Atieno (born August 6, 1985 in Brixton, England) is an English professional football striker, who was released by Walsall in May 2005, and has recently signed for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. Atieno had been contracted to The Saddlers since 2004, making three league appearances in that time after graduating from the club's youth system. As well as this, Atieno has had loan spells at Rochdale, Chester City and Kidderminster Harriers.

  5. Edwin Miranda

    Edwin Miranda (born January 28, 1981 in Zacatecoluca, El Salvador) is a Salvadoran-American soccer player, who currently plays defensive midfield for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. Miranda played four years of college soccer at Cal State-Northridge, where he was twice named Big West Conference Defender of the Year. After graduating, Miranda was drafted 54th overall by the then-Dallas Burn in the 2004 MLS SuperDraft.

  6. Dan Kennedy

    Daniel Hoffard "Dan" Kennedy (born July 22, 1982) is an American goalkeeper with the Puerto Rico Islanders, a football team in the USL First Division. Born in Fullerton, California, Kennedy attended El Dorado High School. After graduating, he went on to the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he majored in Communication and also played for the soccer team, the UCSB Gauchos, setting a record for number of shutouts.

  7. Melvin Tarley

    Duncan "Melvin" Tarley is a Liberian football (soccer) player who currently plays as a forward for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. At the time of Tarley's selection for the Liberian U-21 national team in 1998, he was the youngest player in team history, only 14 years old. He played his first game for the senior national team in 2004. Tarley's first stint in Major League Soccer came with Real Salt Lake in 2005.

  8. Alberto Delgado

    Alberto Delgado Perez is a Cuban soccer player, who, as of 2005, plays forward for the Puerto Rico Islanders of USL First Division. Delgado defected from Cuba during the 2002 Gold Cup, together with future Colorado Rapids teammate Rey Ángel Martínez. Before joining the Rapids in 2005, he most recently played for Ciudad de la Habana of Cuba and, before his defection, was one of the most dangerous players on the Cuban national team.

    Gustavo Barros Schelotto (born 4 May 1973 in La Plata) is an Argentine footballer who last played for the Puerto Rico Islanders in the United Soccer Leagues. He is the twin brother of Guillermo Barros Schelotto.

  10. Michael Behonick

    Michael Behonick (born January 3, 1981 in Bohemia, New York) is an American soccer goalkeeper who currently plays for Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. Behonick played college soccer at American University from 1999-2002, where he helped the Eagles reach the NCAA Tournament as a junior and earned second-team all-Patriot League honors the same season. Behonick was selected 51st overall in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft by D.C. United but did not stick with the club.

  11. Matthew Palleschi

    Matthew Palleschi (born January 11, 1983 in Richmond Hill) is an Canadian soccer player who currently plays for Montreal Impact. Before turning pro he played college soccer with the Humber College Hawks where he was named Team MVP and to CCAA All-Canadian Team in his rookie year in 2002. After college soccer he trailed with Frosinone Calcio of Serie C1/B in Italy, but didn't sign a contract making him sign for Vaughan Shooters of the Canadian Soccer League in 2003.

    Toribio Rojas is the former coach of the Puerto Rico Islanders, a USL soccer team. He also has coached the Costa Rican National team.

  13. Jared Montz

    Jared Montz (born December 26, 1982 in Mandeville, Louisiana) is an American soccer player, who currently plays for the Puerto Rico Islanders of USL First Division. Montz played college soccer at Lynn University for four years, where he finished with 5 goals and 16 assists in 67 matches. He helped lead Lynn to the 2003 Division II National Championship. He signed a developmental contract with the Chicago Fire on April 15, 2005, but saw no playing time that year.

  14. Jorge Alvial

    Jorge Alvial is a recruiter for Chelsea F.C.. In 2006, he was the coach of the USL Puerto Rico Islanders. However, following the 2006 season he left the team, and was replaced by Toribio Rojas. In Puerto Rico he was the mastermind behind the squad that took the Islanders to its first post season.

    Kevin Wilson (born 13 September, 1976) is a Jamaican football striker who currently plays for Arnett Gardens F.C.. Nicknamed 'Pele', he has also played two seasons (1998 and 2005) for Montreal Impact in the USL First Division. He scored 9 goals for Montreal in the 1998 season and returned in 2005 to make an impact by scoring 2 goals in his first game against Puerto Rico Islanders. He only scored 1 goal more and played 8 games in total that season.

He specializes as a defender but also proficient as a Midfielder. Before the Islanders, Rivera played with the club Sporting San Juan in Puerto Rico. He had the experience to participate in tournaments through England,South America,Spain. He also represented Puerto Rico in the Caribbean and Central American Games.

  18. John Queeley

    John Queeley (born December 28, 1982) is an American soccer player who currently plays defense for the Atlanta Silverbacks of the USL First Division. He played four years of college soccer at NC State and was drafted by the New England Revolution in the 2nd round of the 2006 MLS Supplemental Draft. However, he opted for another route and instead signed with the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division, where he played regularly at right back.

  19. Johanes Maliza

    Johanes Maliza (born September 10, 1981 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American soccer midfielder who, in 2004 and 2005, played for the Puerto Rico Islanders of the USL First Division. Maliza played his college soccer at Stanford from 1999 to 2002 along with Roger Levesque and Todd Dunivant. He was drafted by the San Jose Earthquakes 46th overall in the 2003 MLS SuperDraft but failed to see any playing time and was waived in September of that year.

  21. Huffman Eja-Tabe

    Huffman Eja-Tabe (born May 6, 1984 in Limbe Victoria, Cameroon) is a professional soccer player currently plays for the Ottawa Fury in the USL Premier Development League. Before turning professional he played four seasons at Algonquin College having been littered with trophies and awards, winning the OCAA Silver Medal in 2001, and the CCAA Championship in 2002. In 2003 again he would win the OCAA Silver Medal and in 2004 the OCAA Provincial Champion.

  22. Víctor Herrera Piggott

    Victor Herrera (born 18 April 1980 in Panama City, Panama) is a football Midfielder who currently plays in Puerto Rico for USL First Division team Puerto Rico Islanders. He made his debut for the Panama in 2006 against El Salvador and has being a member of all the youth processes of the Panama national team.
