Following his retirement, he lives in Buffalo, New York where he is an active member of the Sabres Alumni Association.

François Beauchemin is a professional ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League. McCleary's career was tragically cut short after a freak incident during a home game on January 29, 2000, in which he was accidentally struck in the throat by a flying puck shot by Philadelphia Flyers Chris Therien after McCleary attempted to block the shot.

Louie DeBrusk (born March 19, 1971 in Cambridge, Ontario) is a retired former professional ice hockey player who played 401 NHL games with the Edmonton Oilers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes and Chicago Blackhawks after being drafted from the London Knights. DeBrusk was renowned for his fighting skills and racked up 1161 penalty minutes over the course of his career. Today he works as a television broadcaster for the Coyotes.
