Thomas ("Tommy") Burns (born 16 December 1956 in Glasgow), is a former professional football player and manager. Tommy Burns played for Celtic (signing in 1973 from Maryhill, and making his debut against Dundee Utd on 19 April, 1975), making a total of 352 league appearances and scoring 52 goals before moving to Kilmarnock in 1989 where he became player-manager in 1992, winning the club promotion to the Premier Division in season 1992-93.

Craig Brown CBE (born July 1, 1940 in Lanarkshire) is a former Scottish professional football player and is currently employed in a director of football-style role at English club Fulham. He played for Scottish schools, youth and junior International teams, before joining Rangers in 1958 from Coltness United, aged just 19. He failed to find a regular first team place though, and moved to Dundee in October 1960, where he won a League Championship medal.

He started his playing career with Stenhousemuir in 1958, moving to Raith Rovers a year later. Gordon David Strachan OBE (born 9 February 1957, in Edinburgh) is a retired Scottish football player, and is now a football manager. He is currently manager of Celtic. During his largely successful playing career he played for Dundee (1974-1977), Aberdeen (1977-1984), Manchester United (1984-1989), Leeds United (1989-1995) and Coventry City (1995-1997). He also won 50 international caps for Scotland and is a member of the Scotland Football Hall of Fame.

- Bobby Brown
Robert "Bobby" Brown (born 19 March, 1923 in Dunipace, Stirlingshire) is a former Scottish footballer and football manager. Bobby Brown made his debut as a goalkeeper for Queen's Park in 1940. He went on to establish himself as the first-choice goalkeeper for the next two seasons, but like many others at this time, his appearances were interrupted by the Second World War, where he served in the Fleet Air Arm as a pilot.

- John Prentice
John Prentice (1926 - February 10, 2006), was a Scottish football player and manager. He played for Heart of Midlothian, Rangers, Falkirk and Dumbarton, and managed Arbroath, Falkirk, Dundee, Clyde and Scotland. Prentice was born in Shotts, Lanarkshire. After playing for the non-league club Carluke Rovers, Prentice signed for Hearts in 1944. A defender, he played for the Edinburgh side for seven years, before signing for Rangers in 1951 for £7000.

Phil O'Donnell is a Scottish football player. O'Donnell began his career with Motherwell F.C. and in 1991 at the age of 18 won a Scottish Cup winners medal after scoring for the Motherwell team that beat Dundee United 4-3 in the 1991 Scottish Cup Final. O'Donnell's blistering form made him a target for bigger clubs and he landed a boyhood dream signing for Celtic F.C. in 1994. David Weir (born 1863 in Aldershot, died 1933 in Bolton) was an English footballer who played for several clubs in the 19th century, including Bolton Wanderers and Ardwick (Manchester City), and won two caps for England. In the infancy of professional football Weir played for a number of teams, including Hampton, Glasgow Thistle, Maybole and Halliwell. He then signed for Bolton Wanderers, where he was an ever-present in the first ever season of the Football League.

Andy Roxburgh (born 1 August 1943) is a former Scottish football player and coach. He has been UEFA Technical Director since 1994. In his playing days Roxburgh appeared for Queens Park, Partick Thistle and Falkirk. His only managerial role was with the Scottish national team, whom he led between 1986 to 1993. guiding them to the 1990 World Cup and the 1992 European Football Championship. In between his playing and managerial career, Roxburgh was employed as a school teacher.

He was involved in Aberdeen's most successful period under the management of Sir Alex Ferguson.

James ("Jim") Leighton (born 24 July, 1958 in Johnstone) is a former football goalkeeper. Among the clubs he played for are Aberdeen (two spells), Manchester United and Hibernian. He joined Aberdeen from Dalry Thistle in 1978. He also won 91 international caps for Scotland, a number surpassed only by Kenny Dalglish. It was during his initial spell at Aberdeen where Leighton achieved his greatest success, under the management of Alex Ferguson in the early to mid 1980s.

William "Billy" McNeill MBE (born 2 March, 1940) is a former Scottish footballer and manager. McNeill, known as Cesar, was arguably the greatest captain of Celtic. His nickname was derived from the actor Cesar Romero, who played the getaway driver in the (original) film "Ocean's Eleven", as McNeill was one of the few Celtic players to own a car at the time. He was signed by Celtic from nearby junior team, Blantyre Victoria, in 1957 as a defender.

Lawrence "Lawrie" Reilly (born 28 October 1928, in Edinburgh) is a former Scottish football player. He was one of the "Famous Five", the Hibernian forward line during the 1950s.
