- Fos Williams
Foster Neil "Fos" Williams (born February 21, 1922, died September 1, 2001) was an Australian rules footballer who played for and coached the Port Adelaide Football Club in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL). He is the father of Mark Williams, the current coach of the Port Adelaide Football Club in the Australian Football League, as well as Stephen Williams, a past coach and player of the Magpies.

- Geof Motley
Geof Motley OAM was an Australian Rules Football player and coach who played for SANFL side Port Adelaide. For eight seasons (1959-1966) he captained the then dominating team of the League. He was the only man to appear in all nine of the Magpies premiership teams between 1954 and 1965. He played a total of 258 SANFL games for Port between 1953 and 1966 and also represented South Australia on 28 occasions. He won the Magarey Medal in 1964.

Recruited from South Australian National Football League club South Adelaide, Bickley made his AFL debut in 1991 as an inaugural member of the Adelaide Crows squad. Josh Willoughby (born January 11, 1986) is an Australian rules footballer in the South Australian National Football League. He was recruited as the number 16 draft pick in the 2003 AFL Draft from Glenelg. He was delisted by the Sydney Swans at the end of the 2006 AFL season without having debuted for the Swans' senior team, and rejoined Glenelg in the SANFL. He has made appearances in the Channel 9 TV-show "McLeod's Daughters" as an extra.
- Walter Scott
Walter "Wacka" or "Wat" Scott was a former Australian rules footballer in the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) in the early 20th century. Scott was a high marking defender who had a large influence during a very successful part of the Norwood Football Club's history. Playing his early football in the Adelaide Hills, in 1920 Scott was lured to play in Adelaide as a result of his employment.

Peter Rohde (born November 19, 1964) came from the Bendigo Region and spent his playing days in the mid 1980's to mid 1990's with Carlton FC and Melbourne FC. Later he would achieve success with Norwood in the South Australian National Football League as a coach, ultimately leading to his appointment as an assistant coach at the Western Bulldogs.

Kym Koster (born February 1, 1973) is a former Australian rules footballer who played 133 games in the Australian Football League, kicking 44 goals. Recruited from South Australian National Football League side South Adelaide, Koster made his AFL debut for Footscray in 1994, playing 38 games and kicking 13 goals. He transferred to Adelaide in 1996 where he played a further 95 games and kicked 31 goals until 2000.

Shane Tuck (born 24 December, 1981) is an Australian rules footballer, and the son of former Hawthorn footballer and VFL/AFL games record holder Michael Tuck and the nephew of Geelong Football Club legend Gary Ablett and former Hawthorn players Kevin and Geoff Ablett. Michael 'Mike' Patterson was an Australian rules footballer who played in the VFL between 1959 and 1969 for the Richmond Football Club. The "Swamp Fox", as he was affectionately known, became a premiership ruckman at the Tigers in 1967. Leaving the VFL in 1970, he went to the North Adelaide Football Club as Captain/Coach and led the Roosters to SANFL premierships in 1971 and 1972 as well as the Australian Championship in 1972.
