1. James Breckenridge Speed

    James Breckenridge Speed (middle name sometimes spelled Breckinridge) (1844-1912) was a successful businessman in Louisville, Kentucky and an important philanthropist. Although he was born in Mississippi and only came to Louisville as an 11-year-old, James B. Speed was always considered a Louisvillian. His parents and siblings were all born in Louisville, and his family was the famous and powerful Speed family, which had had a great impact on the city.

  4. Wendell R. Ross

    Wendell Ross , CMDR USNR (Ret.) Photographs of Wendell Ross in 1957, later career, during a community event in 1995, and a current day photo. Wendell R. Ross , Commander USNR (Ret.) was commissioned as an Ensign in the United States Navy 9 June 1957 and graduated from the University of Louisville, Speed Scientific School with a Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineer. He reported for duty aboard the USS Bausell DD845 at San Diego, California on 15 June.

    David M. Oates Vice Chairman, 2006-2008 David Oates has served as President and CEO of Oates Associates in Collinsville, IL for the last 15 years. He currently serves as a member of the ACEC Transportation Committee, the ACEC Peer Review Committee, and is an ACEC/PAC Trustee. Mr. Oates served as president of the Consulting Engineers Council of Illinois from 2003-2004. From 1992-1993 he was president of the Illinois Society of Professional Engineers.

    GEORGE ESKRIDGE – Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams Coach Coach George Eskridge begins his third year with the Louisville Fire as the Special Teams Coordinator and the FB/ LB coach. Last year, coach Eskridge started off as a defensive assistant and was promoted to the Special Teams Coordinator during the second half of the season. In his first year with the organization, George was a home game intern.

Braun has over 12 years of experience with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) business processes and technologies. Bob led many contact center projects including the Home Shopping Network, CIGNA Insurance, and ABN AMRO.

  8. Ruth Lee Koch

    Ruth Lee Koch served as assistant and secretary to the dean of the Speed Scientific School of the University of Louisville. Koch also held the post of head of the university's purchasing department from 1924 to 1935. She became UofL's cashier in 1935, remaining in that position until her retirement in 1964. The papers include a history of Speed School researched by Koch and other material she collected relating to the school.
