  7. Daniel de Leon

    Daniel De Leon was a Curaçao-born American socialist and Syndicalism-influenced trade unionist of Jewish origin. He was educated in Germany and the Netherlands and arrived in the United States in 1874. De Leon settled in New York City, studying at Columbia University. He became a committed socialist during the 1886 Mayoral campaign of Henry George and in 1890 joined the Socialist Labor Party (SLP), becoming the editor of its newspaper, "The People".

    Arthur Siskind (born 11 October 1938) has been an executive director of the News Corporation since 1991. He served as their group general counsel from March 1991 until December 2004 and has been the senior advisor to the chairman since January 2005.     Solomon Van Vechten Van Rensselaer (August 6 1774 - April 23 1852) was an United States Representative from the state of New York, a lieutenant colonel during the War of 1812, and a postmaster. He was the son of Jeremiah Van Rensselaer and nephew of Killian Van Rensselaer, who were also Representatives. Solomon Van Rensselaer was born in East Greenbush, New York, where he completed preparatory studies.

  11. Edwin Davis

    Edwin F. Davis was the first 'state electrician' for the State of New York and finalized many features of the electric chair. He executed, among other people, both William Kemmler and Martha M. Place. Davis held a patent on certain features of the electric chair. He received U.S. Patent No. 587,649, for his "Electrocution-Chair", in August 3, 1897.

    Killian (or Kiliaen) Van Rensselaer (June 9 1763 - June 18 1845) was an American lawyer and politician who served in the Congress of the United States as a Representative from the state of New York. He was the cousin of Jeremiah Van Rensselaer and the uncle of Solomon Van Vechten Van Rensselaer, who were also Representatives. Van Rensselaer was born in East Greenbush, New York. He completed preparatory studies and attended Yale College, where he studied law.
