I'm in grad school after teaching for 4 years. I cut the semicolons out of my writing because they're the illegitimate children of punctuation. All they do is tell people you've been to college. I'm sick of pretension. I'm sick of stupidity. I'd rather have life than stuff. I've got a festering case of wanderlust that was only aggravated on my recent tour of New England. Give me a good album, an engrossing book and a frosty adult beverage and I can die a happy soul.

I keep pretty busy. I am the photo editor for the school yearbook and also work as a writer and photographer with the Dixini school newspaper. I also stay busy with band. I play alto, tenor, and baritone saxophones, and play with the jazz, concert, marching, and pep band. In my 'free time', I work in the Produce Department at the Jewel store in Dixon. Ha, what free time.

Now here's the part where I stare at the computer screen for half an hour searching for some kind of interesting tid bit about myself. I was born in Shreveport. Although I don't remember much before that, I know that I set up residence in my mother's eye and worked as a twinkle, or so I've been told. I'm not proud of this, but I was young and I did need a way to pay the bills so I guess it was worth it.

I live in East Texas and I own my own business. I have two awesome daughters who are married to two great guys. No grandchildren yet, but I'm not in too big a hurry! I have a live-in companion, my 10-year-old Schnauzer, Sadie, who goes everywhere with me, even to work. She's our mascot at the office. I'm a workaholic without much time for anything else these days.

Born and raised in small town Indiana... which I appreciate alot more now than I did then! Only child (my friends are my siblings!) who has been blessed with many amazing people and experiences over the course of my life and travels.
