    Dr. Mehmet Oz (born June 11, 1960) is an American cardiothoracic surgeon and author. Oz was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Turkish parents, and was educated at Tower Hill School in Wilmington, Delaware, received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University in 1982 and obtained a joint MD and MBA degree in 1986 from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and The Wharton School. Oz is Professor of Cardiac Surgery at Columbia University.

  3. Adib Domingos Jatene

    Adib Domingos Jatene is a noted Brazilian physician, university professor, scientist and thoracic surgeon, one of the founders of the University of São Paulo Heart Institute and internationally respected as the inventor of the Jatene operation, an open heart surgery for revascularization of the myocardium. He was a Secretary of Health of São Paulo city and Minister of Health of Brazil. He is a member of the Brazilian Academy of Medicine.
