- Glen Grunwald
Glen Grunwald is the current senior vice president, basketball operations for the NBA's New York Knickerbockers. From January 2005 until September 2006, Grunwald was the president & CEO of the Toronto Board of Trade. As head of the city's leading business organization, Mr. Grunwald was heavily involved in both the business and social communities of Toronto.

Claude Lajeunesse (born 1941) is the current President and Vice-Chancellor of Concordia University. From 1995 until August 2005, he was President and Vice Chancellor of Ryerson University. He received his PhD in 1969, and his Master of Science degree in 1967 in Nuclear Engineering. Prior to his appointment as President of Ryerson University, he was CEO of the Association of Universities and Colleges of Canada.
- Isaac Buchanan
Isaac Buchanan (July 21 1810 - October 1 1883) was a businessman and political figure in Canada West. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland in 1810 and became an apprentice to a firm of Glasgow merchants in 1825. He became a junior partner in a new Montreal wholesale business opened by the firm; Buchanan moved to York (Toronto) to be closer to clients in Upper Canada. In 1834, with his brother Peter, he bought the business in York and set up an office in Glasgow.
- Alexander Mortimer Smith
Alexander Mortimer Smith (May 8 1818 - January 19 1895) was a soldier, businessman and political figure. He was born in Monymusk in Aberdeenshire, Scotland in 1818 and joined the British Army in 1836. In 1838, his regiment was sent to Toronto in Upper Canada. In 1840, Smith left the army and was employed by a local merchant, later opening his own store. In the late 1850s, he entered the wholesale trade in groceries and also the lumber trade.
