Brett Gardner, born August 24, 1983, in Holly Hill, South Carolina, is an American baseball player who was a non-roster invitee to the New York Yankees 2007 spring training camp, and was reassigned to the AA Trenton Thunder. Gardner, who is 5' 10", plays center field and bats and throws left-handed.

He has made a total of 11 appearances in major league games: eight with the Milwaukee Brewers in 2002 and three with the Atlanta Braves in 2005. In 2006, Childers went 1-4 with a 5.68 ERA with Triple-A Columbus Clippers and 3-3 with a 3.81 ERA with Double-A Trenton Thunder.

Kenneth Edward Macha (born September 29, 1950 in Monroeville, Pennsylvania) is the former manager of the Oakland A's, having led the team from 2003-2006. He guided them to the American League's Western Division championship in his first season and followed that with second-place finishes in both 2004 and 2005. Macha's A's once again captured the AL Western Division championship in 2006. Macha was fired after the 2006 season.

Earl L. "Buddy" Carlyle (born December 21, 1977 in Omaha, Nebraska) is a Major League Baseball starting pitcher who plays for the Atlanta Braves. Originally drafted by the Cincinnati Reds in the 2nd round of the 1996 amateur entry draft, Buddy spent three years in the Reds organization before being traded to the San Diego Padres for Marc Kroon on April 8, 1998. He played for the Mobile BayBears and Las Vegas Stars before making his major league debut on August 29, 1999.
