Before election to Congress in 1988, he practiced law in Texas and served as Assistant District Attorney in Houston, Texas, for four years.

What to say what to say.... Well I've been home for over a year now from my one year in Iraq, courtesy of the US Army reserves. Iraq was interesting and though I'm glad to have had the opportunity to serve my country and come back in one piece, I'm glad to be back home. I FINALLY finished my BA in History at CSUN this semester, Spring 06, and am looking forward to starting my new job in September.
