  1. Tonya Harding

    Tonya Maxine Harding (born November 12, 1970) is an American former figure skater. Despite a tough childhood in an unstable family, as well as being plagued by asthma (aggravated by smoking), she became an elite figure skater. She won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice and placed second in the 1991 World Championships. She was the second woman, and the first American woman, to complete a triple axel jump in competition.

  2. Alissa Czisny

    Alissa Czisny (born June 25, 1987), is an American figure skater. She is the 2007 US National bronze medalist. In 2005, Czisny gained international attention when won Skate Canada International and placed second at Skate America. She qualified for the 2005-2006 Grand Prix Final and placed sixth. She went on to the 2006 US Championships in St. Louis, where she was a heavy favorite to place in the top three. However, Czisny fell multiple times and finished seventh overall.

  3. Rachael Flatt

    Rachael Flatt (born July 21 1992 in Del Mar, California, USA) is an American figure skater. She is the 2006 U.S. Junior silver medalist. She missed the 2006-2007 Junior Grand Prix season due to injury, but made her senior debut at the 2007 United States Figure Skating Championships, where she placed 5th. Flatt made her international debut as a junior in March, 2007 at the International Challenge Cup.

  4. Melissa Gregory

    Melissa Gregory (born May 22, 1981) is an American figure skater. She was born in Highland Park, IL to a Catholic father and a Jewish mother. She first skated at age seven. She currently competes in ice dance with Denis Petukhov. They joined forces on the ice in 2000 and were married in 2001. They have won three silver medals and two bronze medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

  5. Tiffany Scott

    Tiffany Scott (born May 1, 1977 in Whitman, MA) is an American figure skater. She competed in pairs with partner Rusty Fein. Prior to teaming up with Fein in 2005, she skated with Philip Dulebohn, who was one of Scott and Fein's coaches during their brief partnership. She and Dulebohn won the pairs title at the 2003 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and finished 4th with Fein at their first and only U.S. Figure Skating Championships in 2006.

  6. Peter Tchernyshev

    Peter Tchernyshev (born February 6, 1971 in St. Petersburg, Russia) is an American figure skater who competed in ice dance with Naomi Lang. They joined forces on the ice in 1996 and have captured five gold medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. Tchernyshev became a U.S. citizen in 2001, and the pair competed at the 2002 Winter Olympics.

  8. Scott Smith

    Scott Smith (born October 19, 1981 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida) is an American figure skater. He was the 1999 US Junior National Champion. At the 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships, he was the only competitor to land a clean quadruple jump. He represents the Skating Club of Boston. He is coached by Mark Mitchell and Peter Johansson and his programs are choreographed by Jamie Isley and Lori Nichol.

  9. Christopher Bowman

    Christopher Bowman (born March 30, 1967 in Hollywood, CA) is an American figure skater. Known as "Bowman the Showman", he is a two-time U.S. National Champion. He is also a two-time medalist at the World Figure Skating Championships and competed in two Olympic Games. Before his skating career, he was a child actor. During his career, he was trained by Frank Carroll, Toller Cranston, and John Nicks.

  10. Denis Petukhov

    Denis Petukhov (born October 6, 1978 in Kirov, Russia) is an American figure skater. He currently competes in ice dance with Melissa Gregory. They joined forces on the ice in 2000 and were married in 2001. They have won three silver medals and two bronze medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and will compete in the 2006 Winter Olympics. Previously, he competed for Russia with partner Oksana Potdykova. He became a U.S. citizen in 2005.

  11. Marcy Hinzmann

    Marcy Hinzmann (born May 26, 1982 in Norman, Oklahoma) is an American figure skater. She competes in pairs, and since April 2003, her partner has been Aaron Parchem. In 2005, they won the bronze medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and won a silver medal and qualified for the Olympic team the following year. She was previously paired with Steve Hartsell.

  12. Ryan O'Meara

    Ryan O'Meara (born January 5, 1984 in Houston, TX) is an American figure skater. He most recently competed in ice dance with Jamie Silverstein. They joined forces in 2005 and captured the bronze medal at the 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The pair also competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics. Prior to skating with Silverstein, O'Meara competed with Lydia Manon from 2003 to 2005. With Manon, he won the bronze medal at the 2005 U.S. Championships.

  13. Peter Carruthers

    Peter Carruthers (born July 22, 1959 in Boston, Massachusetts) was an American figure skater. He competed in pairs with his adopted sister Kitty Carruthers. The duo captured four gold medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and a silver medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. Since retiring from skating, Carruthers has worked as a skating analyst for the Fox and ABC television networks.

  14. Amber Corwin

    Amber Corwin ("Ambuler"; born December 21, 1978) is an American figure skater. Corwin was born in Harbor City, California to Jewish American parents. She started skating at the age of five. She competed on the senior level for more than a decade. Her most notable accomplishments include finishing fourth at the 2004 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and second at the 1999 Four Continents Championships.

  15. Jamie Silverstein

    Jamie Silverstein (born December 23, 1983 in Pittsburgh, PA) is an American figure skater. She most recently competed in ice dance with Ryan O'Meara. They joined forces in 2005 and captured the bronze medal at the 2006 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. The pair also competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics.   16. Scott Davis

    Scott Davis (born January 29, 1972 in Great Falls, Montana) is a two-time U.S. Figure Skating Championships gold medalist. After winning his first national title in 1993, he defeated 1988 Olympic gold medalist Brian Boitano to win the 1994 title. In the years following, Davis suffered from vertigo and had problems with his jump consistency. Although he continued to compete until the 1998 season, after 1995 he never again qualified for a World or Olympic team.

  17. Jenni Meno

    American pairs figure skater Jenni Meno first partnered with Scott Wendland and won two medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships. She began skating with her future husband Todd Sand in April 1992. They partnered to compete in two Olympics and win three national titles and three medals at the World Figure Skating Championships. More recently, Meno and Sand had their first son, Jack, in 2004, and their second son, Matthew Kenneth Sand, on August 14th 2006.

  18. Ryan Jahnke

    Ryan Jahnke (born on March 21, 1978 in Detroit, MI) is an American figure skater. He captured the bronze medal at the 2003 U.S. Figure Skating Championships and was the 1993 Novice National Champion. After the 2005-2006 Olympic season, Jahnke retired from competitive skating and now spends his time coaching. Though he has kept his eligibility, he skates "professionally", making his professional debut in the 2006 Brian Boitano Skating Spectacular.

    Drew Meekins (born April 10, 1985, in Juneau, Alaska) is an American pairs skater. He competes with Julia Vlassov. They are the 2006 World Junior Champions, and they are currently ranked 18th in the world.

    Vera Wang (born June 27, 1949) is an American fashion designer based in New York, NY, USA. She is known for her wedding gown collection, among other specialties. She was raised in an affluent family and attended The Chapin School as well as the Sorbonne in Paris. She graduated from Sarah Lawrence College with a degree in art history.   25. Philip Dulebohn

    Philip Dulebohn (born September 13, 1973 in Silver Spring, Maryland) is an American figure skater. He competed in pairs with partner Tiffany Scott, and the duo won the gold medal at the 2003 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. He and Scott ended their partnership in 2005, and now Dulebohn coaches Scott and her new partner, Rusty Fein. His brother, Paul Dulebohn, was also a competitive skater.

  26. Judy Blumberg

    Judy Blumberg (born 1960) is an American ice dancer. She competed with Michael Seibert. They are the 1981-1985 U.S. National Champions and the 1983-1985 World bronze medalist. They placed 7th at the 1980 Winter Olympics and 4th at the 1984 Olympics. They are the 1988 World Professional Champions. After she retired Blumberg did commentary for CBS Sports, and was a motivational speaker. Blumberg is currently the Ensemble Director for the Ice Theatre of New York.

  27. John Misha Petkevich

    John Misha Petkevich is an American former figure skater. He won the 1971 U.S. Figure Skating Championships in men's singles and the North American Championship in the same year, and competed at both the 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics (where he finished 6th and 5th, respectively). His best finish at the World Figure Skating Championships was 4th in 1972. Petkevich was known as a particularly dynamic free skater for his time.

  28. Theresa Weld

    Theresa Weld Blanchard (born August 21, 1893 in Brookline, MA; died March 12, 1978 in Brookline) was an American figure skater. She competed in ladies' singles and pair skating with Nathaniel Niles. In singles, she won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships six times and competed three times in the Olympics, capturing a bronze medal in 1920. With Niles, she won the national pairs title nine times and also participated in the Olympics three times.

  29. Elizabeth Punsalan

    Elizabeth Punsalan was an American figure skater. She competed in ice dance with her husband Jerod Swallow. The pair won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships five times and competed in the Winter Olympics twice. She currently coaches at the Detroit Skating Club. She coaches Alissa Czisny.

  30. Nathaniel Niles

    Nathaniel Niles (? - 1932) was an American figure skater who competed in all disciplines of the sport between 1914 and 1932. He won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships in men's single skating 3 times, and 9 national pair skating titles with his partner Theresa Weld Blanchard. Blanchard and Niles also won a further 5 national titles in ice dancing. As a single skater, he placed 6th twice at the Olympic Games, first in 1920 and again in 1924, and placed 15th in 1928.

    Steve Hartsell (born January 6 1978, Ann Arbor, Michigan) is an American pair skater. With sister Danielle Hartsell, he is the 1999 U.S. national champion. After his sister retired, he skated with Marcy Hinzmann and Kristen Roth.

  33. Sherwin Badger

    Sherwin Campbell Badger (August 29, 1901-April 8, 1972) was an American figure skater who competed in singles and pairs. He earned the men's titles at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships from 1920 through 1924. He also captured the pairs gold medal with partner Beatrix Loughran three times, and the pair won the silver medal at the 1932 Winter Olympics. Prior to pairing with Loughran, he competed first with Clara Frothingham and later with Edith Rotch.

  34. Lydia Manon

    Lydia Manon (born September 16, 1982 in Reading, PA) is an American figure skater. She won the bronze medal in ice dance at the 2005 U.S. Figure Skating Championships with Ryan O'Meara, but the duo ended their partnership shortly thereafter. Through mid-2006 she skated with Brandon Forsyth, but ended that partnership to resume academic studies at the George Washington University. Prior to joining forces with O'Meara in 2003, she competed with Michel Klus.

  35. Michael Seibert

    Michael Seibert (born 1959) was an American figure skater. He competed in ice dance with Judy Blumberg. The pair won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships five times, captured the bronze medal at the World Figure Skating Championships three times, and competed at the Winter Olympics twice. After his competitive skating career ended, Seibert became a well-known choreographer. He has choreographed for Stars on Ice.

  38. Tom Dickson

    Tom Dickson is an American figure skater who currently works as a coach and choreographer. During his eligible career, he won the U.S. Figure Skating Championships at junior level in 1980; at the senior level, he placed 5th at the 1984 Championships. He also won Nebelhorn Trophy in 1980. After his competitive career, Dickson skated with Ice Capades. He started doing skating choreography when his former coach, Carlo Fassi, asked him to work with Chen Lu in 1991.

    Caitlyn "Kitty" Carruthers (born May 30, 1961 in Boston, Massachusetts) is a retired American figure skater. She competed in pairs with her adopted brother Peter Carruthers. The duo captured four gold medals at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships and a silver medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics. In 1999, she and her brother were inducted into the United States Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

  40. Joseph Druar

    Joseph Druar was an American figure skater. He competed in ice dance in the 1988 Winter Olympics with Susie Wynne. The pair won the gold medal at the U.S. Figure Skating Championships twice.
