Fernando Clavijo (born January 23, 1956 in Maldonado, Uruguay) is a former American soccer defender and currently the head coach of the Colorado Rapids of Major League Soccer. He is a member of the National Soccer Hall of Fame. Clavijo began his professional playing career at the age of 16 with Uruguayan club Atenas De San Carlos. In 1979, Clavijo and his wife moved to the United States in order for him to play for the New York Apollo of the American Soccer League (ASL).

Deering spent his professional career in the Germany as well as with the U.S. based Major League Soccer and Major Indoor Soccer League. Jovan Kirovski (born March 18, 1976, in Escondido, California) is an American soccer forward of Macedonian descent who currently plays in Major League Soccer for the Colorado Rapids. Kirovski joined Manchester United's youth team in 1992, becoming the first American to sign with the famed club. He led the reserve team in scoring in 1996, but unfortunately for Jovan, he was not able to break into the first team because of work permit regulations.

The MetroStars drafted him with the seventh overall pick in the 1999 MLS College Draft, but being a high pick was not enough to keep John on the squad, as he was cut before playing any games.
