1. Victor Willis

    Victor Edward Willis (born on July 1 1951 in Dallas, Texas) is a singer, songwriter, actor; and original lead singer of the disco group Village People. He was also the original straight member of the group. His persona was the "Cop" and "Naval Officer." His powerful R&B vocals defined the sound of the Village People and remains one of the most recognizable voices from the disco era. The son of a Baptist preacher, his singing skills were developed in the church.

  2. Randy Jones

    Randy Jones (born in Raleigh, North Carolina, USA, on September 13 1952) was the original cowboy in the Village People. He currently (2006) lives in New York City.

  3. Glenn Hughes

    Glenn Hughes (July 18, 1950 - March 4, 2001) was the original "Biker" character in the disco group Village People from 1977 to 1996 and one of the group's straight members. He graduated Class of 1968 from Chaminade High School. He was interested in motorcycles, and was working as a toll collector in Brooklyn-Battery Tunnel when he responded to an advertisement by composer Jacques Morali seeking "macho" singers and dancers.

  4. Jacques Morali

    Jacques Morali was a French music producer, who is best remembered for being the creator and driving force behind the disco group, Village People. Morali started his career in music in a record shop in the Orly airport and eventually became a writer and right hand for Hervé Vilard, Michèle Torr and Christophe.

  5. Alex Briley

    Alex Briley (born Alexander Briley, 12 April 1951, in Harlem, New York) performed the "G.I." role in the disco era music group, Village People. Briley was raised in Harlem and later Mount Vernon, New York. A minister's son, he sang in church from an early age and studied voice at the University of Hartford. Briley performed with jazz flautist Bobby Humphrey and was featured in the off-Broadway shows "Music Magic" and Althol Fugard's drama "A Lesson From Aloe".

    David "Scar" Hodo (born 7 July 1947, San Andreas, California) was the 'construction worker (sheet metal foreman)' in the music group, Village People.

  7. Patrick Juvet

    Patrick Juvet (born August 21 1950, in Montreux, Switzerland) is a former model turned singer-songwriter, with a string of hit records in France. While his early career was focused on making pop records, he found international success as a disco music performer in the latter half of the 1970s. In Saint-Tropez he met French music producer Eddie Barclay, who allowed him to record a first single in 1971. He wrote "Le Lundi au soleil" sung by Claude François.

  8. Henri Belolo

    Henri Belolo is a French music producer, very successful during the disco era. Together with his friend composer Jacques Morali, he notably created the Ritchie Family group and, their most successful group, the Village People. He was born in November 1936 in Casablanca, Morocco. Unlike his associate Jacques Morali, Belolo is not gay, but saw the Village people's gay image as a way to embody a certain partying spirit. He currently still works in France as a music producer.

  9. Felipe Rose

    Felipe Rose is, of course, best known as the Native American-clad performer in the sensationally popular disco group, the Village People; but this joyful Asbury Park resident is now spreading his wings as a gifted solo performer. Born in Manhattan and raised in Brooklyn, he was attracted to the arts as a child. In 1970, when Rose was 16 years old, he won a scholarship to study dance with the Ballet de Puerto Rico, with whom he participated in a dance-drama recital at Lincoln Center.

  11. Jeff Olson

    Jeff Olson was the cowboy in the musical group Village People. Olson was born in New York City, but currently lives in Connecticut. He joined the Village People in 1980 when Randy Jones left, and a friend informed him that a pop-group was looking for a singer/dancer. Before that he had been the owner of a bar in Los Angeles. Today, he is on the board of directors for Sixuvus Ltd., the company formed out of Village People.

  12. Eric Anzalone

    Eric Anzalone is the current biker of the music group Village People. He moved from California to New Jersey in 1992, replacing Glenn Hughes as the leatherman for the popular dance club/ disco group Village People in 1995. Before joining Village People, he was front man for the metal band PARADIGM. Eric is also a television actor; he has appeared on VH-1's the Love Lounge.
