    Lydia Wirkus of Chugiak was appointed to the Commission by Governor Sarah Palin in March 2007 as a representative of the general public. Ms. Wirkus was a professional educator in the Matanuska Susitna Borough School District for almost fourteen years at both Wasilla High School and Burchell High School, formerly Mat Su Alternative School. She created and taught several governmental courses, with an emphasis in special education/learning disabled student participation.

    Laura Wick - 4th Grade Teacher Laura was raised in Washington and Alaska. She graduated from Palmer High School and Alaska Pacific University. She has been teaching since 1989. She is active in a variety of music groups. In her free time she enjoys gardening, flying and listening to music. Because of her interest in science, Laura is working on her Masters of Science Education. Both of her daughters teach at Wasilla High School.

    Kris Perry has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry, where she’s served as General Manager of Alaska DigiTel and General Manager of MTA Wireless. She most recently served as Development Director for the Alzheimer’s Resource of Alaska and as Campaign Manager for Palin for Governor. Born and raised in Alaska, Perry graduated from Wasilla High School and resides in Wasilla with her husband and children.

    Jaimee Lettow (Wasilla), daughter of James and Terri Lettow, graduated from Wasilla High School. She was the president of her chapter of National Honor Society and an active member of the Executive Board of student government. Outside of school, she participated in Alaska Youth for Environmental Action, her church’s youth group, and political campaigns. In the fall, she will attend the University of Oregon.

    Sarah Munson (Wasilla) , daughter of Kevin and Nancy Munson, graduated from Wasilla High School. She is currently pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Economics at Seattle University. Sarah plans to attend law school and eventually work in public policy on Capitol Hill or in the White House. In her spare time, she likes to read, write fiction, and spend time with her family.

    Todd Palin continued an official membership in the Alaska Independence Party until 2002, more than 30 years after the Weather Underground went out of existence and Barack Obama was a child. When Todd Palin was a member the Alaska Independence Party, Sarah Palin was the mother of his children. Sarah Palin, as Alaska's governor, told the Alaska Independence Party to "keep up the good work" as they were about to nominate conspiracy buff Charles Baldwin for president.
