  1. Betty Sue Flowers

    Betty Sue Flowers , Ph.D., became Director of the Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum in 2002. Before that time, she was the Joan Negley Kelleher Centennial Professor in the English Department at the University of Texas, as well as a Piper Professor and a member of the University's Academy of Distinguished Teachers. During her years at the University of Texas, she also served as Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and Director of the Plan II Honors Program.

    Andrew N. Liveris is President, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Chairman of The Dow Chemical Company, a $49 billion global chemical and plastics manufacturer based in Midland, Michigan. Liveris' 30-year Dow career has spanned manufacturing, sales, marketing, new business development and management. He has spent the bulk of his career in Asia, where he was general manager for the company's operations in Thailand, and later head of all Asia-Pacific operations.

He engages in collaboration with companies, government agencies, non-profits, and other research organizations to develop new methods and tools for understanding the interdependence among social, environmental, and economic systems.

    Mr. de Boer has been involved in climate change policies since 1994. He has helped to prepare the position of the European Union in the lead-up to the negotiations on the Kyoto Protocol, assisted in the design of the internal burden sharing of the European Union and has since led delegations to the UNFCCC negotiations. He has actively sought broad stakeholder involvement on the issue of climate change.

  16. Andrew W. Savitz

    Andy created the environmental advisory services practice at Coopers & Lybrand, building it to become the partner-in-charge of PwC's Environmental Enforcement and Compliance Management services. His practice assisted companies to develop and implement environmental compliance and performance management programs. Savitz also was a regional leader of PwC's Governance, Risk and Compliance services and the environmental due diligence and dispute analysis group.

    Rodger was appointed Executive Director the New Zealand Centre for Business Ethics and Sustainable Development on a part-time basis. when the Centre was formed in November 1998. Rodger is a Certified Financial Planner and Chartered Accountant. He has a Master of Commerce (First Class Honours) and holds a PhD in ethical and sustainable business and investment.

He has been a pioneer in the emerging field of deep ocean exploration and has played a primary role in the development of new technologies and the development of private sector standards for underwater cultural heritage resource management.
