    Robb Akey (born July 24, 1966) is an American football coach, named the head coach at the University of Idaho on December 20, 2006, by athletic director Rob Spear. Akey succeeds Dennis Erickson, who left his second stint at Idaho after just ten months for Arizona State of the Pac-10. Erickson was preceded by Nick Holt, who voluntarily departed after only two seasons, compiling nine losses in each. The Idaho Vandals joined the Western Athletic Conference (WAC) in 2005.

    Steven J. Patterson was an American professional basketball player who played in the National Basketball Association for five seasons. A 6'9"/2.06 m center from UCLA, Patterson spent his first year of athletic eligibility (1968-69, the third of the Bruins' unprecedented string of seven consecutive national titles) as the backup to Lew Alcindor, later Kareem Abdul-Jabbar.     Kent Baer (b. May 2 1951) was an assistant football coach and defensive coordinator at the University of Notre Dame under Tyrone Willingham. When Willingham was fired as coach on November 30 2004, Baer was named interim head coach until Charlie Weis was hired in early 2005. He previously coached. Baer has now moved on to the University of Washington to serve as the defensive coordinator for the aforementioned Willingham.

    John Jefferson (born February 3, 1956) is a retired American football wide receiver. Jefferson played at Arizona State University from 1974 to 1977. Jefferson's breakout year occurred in his sophomore season (1975) when he led the Sun Devils with 52 receptions and 921 yards receiving on the way to a perfect 12-0 season and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl, where he was also named Most Valuable Player.

  20. Brent Guy

    Brent Guy is the head football coach at Utah State. From 1986 to 1991, he served as a defensive coach at Oklahoma State. Guy previously coached at Utah State from 1992-94, working with the linebackers under then head coach Charlie Weatherbie. In that time, the Aggies won a Big West Conference Championship and posted the only bowl victory in school history, winning the 1993 Las Vegas Bowl 42-33 against Ball State.

  24. Ned Wulk

    Ned Wulk was the college basketball coach at Arizona State from 1958 to 1982. He remains by far the winningest coach in school history, with a record of 406-272(.599). Wells Fargo Arena's basketball court is named after him in his honor. He was also very successful in Tempe as he went 94-24(.797) in home games. At the time of his 400th victory, he was one of only four then-active coaches to win 400 or more games at one school.

  25. Oddibe McDowell

    Oddibe McDowell (born August 25, 1962, in Hollywood, Florida) was a Major League Baseball player from 1985 to 1994 for the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Indians, and Atlanta Braves. McDowell was the first player to hit for the cycle for the Rangers when he accomplished that feat on July 23, 1985. Mark Teixeira and Gary Matthews, Jr. are the only other Rangers players to hit for the cycle.

    Keith Robert Strohmaier Poole (born June 18, 1974 in San Jose, California) is a former professional American football wide receiver with the New Orleans Saints and Denver Broncos from 1997 to 2001. Poole was a stand out receiver at Clovis High School in California and played collegiately at Arizona State alongside with quarterback Jake Plummer. In 1997, he and Plummer helped lead the Sun Devils to the Rose Bowl only to lose to Ohio State 20-17.

  28. Darryl Rogers

    Darryl Rogers (born May 28, 1935) was an American football coach. He was hired by the Detroit Lions in 1985 as head coach. He went 7-9 in '85, 5-11 in '86, 4-11 in '87, and 2-9 in 1988, for a career record with the Lions of 18-40. One of his more famous quotes during his unsuccessful tenure with the Lions was when he once wondered aloud to reporters after a loss, 'What does a coach have to do around here to get fired?'.   29. Lyle Setencich

    Lyle Setencich is a Football coach currently working as the Defensive Coordinator at Texas Tech. The 1969 Fresno State graduate began his collegiate coaching career in 1979 at the defensive coordinator at Boise State. He held the position for two years and helped lead the team to the NCAA Division I-AA National Championship in 1980. He was the head coach of Boise State from 1983 to 1986, posting a 24-20 record as the head coach.

    Michael Jonathan Pagel (born September 13, 1960 in Douglas, Arizona), was a former American professional football player who was selected by the Baltimore Colts in the 4th round of the 1982 NFL Draft. A 6'2", 206 lbs. quarterback from Arizona State, Pagel played in 12 NFL seasons from 1982-1993. Drafted the same year as highly touted Art Schlichter, Pagel was drafted to be groomed as a backup. Generally he out-played Schlichter.

  31. Bill Kajikawa

    Bill Kajikawa was the head men's basketball coach at Arizona State from 1949 to 1957. He attended Phoenix Union High School, and played football at Arizona State. During World War II, he was a member of the 442nd Regimental Combat Team. In addition to serving as the Sun Devils' basketball coach, he served as their head baseball coach, as well as an assistant football coach.

  32. Mike Aguirre

    Michael Jules Aguirre (born 1949) is the City Attorney for the City of San Diego, California. A frequent political candidate and prominent figure in San Diego politics, Aguirre was elected as city attorney in 2004. Aguirre earned a Bachelor's degree in political science at Arizona State University in 1971. He earned a law degree from the Boalt Hall at the University of California at Berkeley in 1974.

  33. Bruce Hill

    Bruce Edward Hill (born February 29, 1964 in Fort Dix, New Jersey), is a former professional American football player who selected by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the fourth round of the 1987 NFL Draft. A 6'0", 175-lb. wide receiver from Arizona State, Hill played his entire NFL career for the Buccaneers from 1987 to 1991. His best year as a pro came during the 1988 season when he led all Tampa Bay receivers with 58 receptions for 1,040 yards and 9 touchdowns.

    Art Malone (born March 20, 1948 in Tyler, Texas) is a former professional American football player who played running back for seven seasons for the Atlanta Falcons and Philadelphia Eagles. His brother Benny Malone also played running back at Arizona State and in the NFL.

    Dan Schneider (born 1942) is a former professional baseball player who played in the Major Leagues from 1963 until 1969. Born in Evansville, Indiana, Schneider was a strong left-handed pitcher who played for the University of Arizona, where he made the 1962 College All-American Team. In June of 1962, Schneider was signed by the Milwaukee Braves. He played with them through the 1966 season (when the team moved to Atlanta) and then was traded to the Houston Astros.

  36. Lafayette Lever

    Lafayette "Fat" Lever (born August 18, 1960 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas) is a retired American professional basketball player in the NBA. Originally selected by the Portland Trail Blazers as the 11th pick in the 1982 NBA Draft out of Arizona State, he was considered one of the league's best point guards in the late 1980s while a member of the Denver Nuggets. Despite his size (6 feet 3 inches) he regularly led the Nuggets in rebounding.

    Judge Robert C. Broomfield (born 1933) is a judge for the United States District Court for the District of Arizona. President Ronald Reagan nominated Broomfield on May 15, 1985 and was confirmed by the Senate on July 10, 1985. Broomfield served as chief judge from 1994-1999 and assumed senior status in August of 1999. Chief Justice William Rehnquist appoint judge Broomfield to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in May 2002.
