He has appeared on the BBC show "Strictly Come Dancing", a dance contest in which a professional ballroom dancer is partnered with a celebrity amateur dancer. He has also judged three seasons of New Zealand's own "Dancing with the Stars". He has danced since he was six, and came to the United Kingdom when he was nineteen.

Alex Moore (1901-1991) was a pioneer of modern ballroom dancing, a dancer, dance teacher and author of classical ballroom dancing books. Paul Pellicoro (born 1957) is a professional ballroom dancer, instructor, and choreographer. He has owned and operated New York City's largest ballroom dance studio, Paul Pellicoro's DanceSport, since 1985, which is currently located in its new (as of November 2006) home next to the Empire State Building in Manhattan in New York City (the studio was located in the Upper West Side neighborhood in Manhattan until November 2006).

Anya Garnis (born c. 1982) is a Latin dancer from New York City (originally from Russia), and a finalist on season 3 of the American reality television show "So You Think You Can Dance." Garnis has lived in the United States for six years. She also worked at a law firm back in Russia. She has been dancing for nine years with partner Pasha Kovalev, who is also a finalist on the show.

Lorentz Reige (February 23, 1990-) is a famous ballroom dancer in Sweden. He was born in Sweden and in spite of his young age he has performed and competed in several countries outside Sweden. In 2005, he won the Swedish Ten Dance National Championships in the 16-18 age category. His partner is Victoria Briding, and they have been dancing together as a couple since September 2003. He has competed both in his default class and in others.

Bambi Linn, born on April 26, 1926 in Brooklyn, New York, is an American dancer, choreographer, and actress. Linn, born Bambi Linnemeier, trained extensively with Agnes de Mille and, at the age of seventeen, made her Broadway debut in the original production of "Oklahoma!" (1943) De Mille used her again as Louise in "Carousel" (1945), for which she earned a Theatre World Award; she repeated the role in the 1957 revival at City Center.

Ivy Sawyer (February 13, 1898 - November 16, 1999) was an American cabaret and ballroom dancer, singer, and stage actress. Ivy Sawyer danced professionally with John Jarrot until she met and married fellow dancer/actor Joseph Santley. The two would dance and perform on stage together primarily in musical comedies for nearly two decades. They made their Broadway debut together in 1916 and appeared in the famous Irving Berlin "Music Box Revues" of the 1920s.
