Hi, I really don't spend a lot of time on line. So, I've been only gradually and sporadically adding content. I've posted a number of my poems as blogs--they represent a cross section from numerous eras of my life. I've posted photos of some of my artwork--mainly assemblages. I live alone with my pets in a quirky house on a hill, very close to, but hidden, from a major roadway.

Travel has also occured from the Sea of the Carribean, South America (Venezula), Yucatan Penisula, to the Hawaiian Islands. London, England is the only European locale I have been to. About Me? Well, I have lived, loved, lost, not neccessarily in that order. I have made some wrong choices in my life, had some uncontrollable events happen, taken risks, but I believe in taking risks. Who can say they have lived or live if they don't take risks? I am a self proclaimed anthropologist, I love humanity, the study of humanity, what makes us different and indifferent at the same time.

  31. Brian McCarthy

Life is a rich banquet set out before us-- unfortunately most of us are on diets. Not me! I enjoy life and I want as many to join the party as possible! I have a terrific sense of humor and I'm not afraid to use it! I can laugh at myself, but I'll be laughing at you, too. I know that life is not all fun and games, but this isn't the place for all that. Not to worry, I can handle that sort of business as well.

I am the product of a musician and a hair stylist. I grew up in the 80s and partook in the punk movement. I spent my youth on a skateboard and now my adulthood on a computer. I am passionate and somewhat rebellious. I love to spend time in the woods, but also love the city; clubs, dancing and watching musicians perform live. I keep my body strong at the gym, mind strong by reading and heart strong by listening to great music.

Haven't put them on here yet but you can see paintings at elisabethwilborn.blogspot.com.

"Erreichbar, nah und unverloren blieb inmitten der Verluste dies eine: die Sprache. Sie, die Sprache, blieb unverloren, ja, trotz allem. Aber sie musste nun hindurchgehen durch ihre eigenen Antwortlosigkeiten, hindurchgehen durch furchtbares Verstummen, hindurchgehen durch tausend Finsternisse todbringender Rede. Sie ging hindurch und gab keine Worte her für das, was geschah; aber sie ging durch dieses Geschehen.
