John and his wife Susan have two married daughters and live in Savannah, Georgia.

Chris Gerlach Chris Gerlach is a member of the Minnesota State Senate representing much of Dakota County. He currently sits on the Capital Investment, Finance, and Jobs, Energy, and Community Development committees. Chris was elected to the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1998 and subsequently re-elected each year. He was elected to the Senate in a special election in 2002 and was re-elected in 2004.
