    Alfred A. Knopf (September 12, 1892 - August 11, 1984) was a leading American publisher of the 20th century, founder of Alfred A. Knopf, Inc.. His contemporaries included the likes of Bennett Cerf and Donald Klopfer, and (of the previous generation) Frank Nelson Doubleday, J. Henry Harper and Henry Holt. Knopf paid special attention to the quality of printing, binding, and design in his books, and earned a reputation as a purist in both content and presentation.

    Edward J. Giorgianni is an Imaging Scientist formerly of the Imaging Research and Advanced Development Division at Eastman Kodak Company. Giorgianni is best known for his contributions in the field of color science and hold numerous patents in the fields of color management and imaging technology. Among his inventions are the digital color-encoding methods used on many commercial imaging systems, including the Photo CD System.

  6. Nancy Nord

    Nancy Ann Nord is the acting chairman of the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission. She is also a commissioner serving the remainder of a seven-year term that will expire October 26, 2012. The U.S. Senate confirmed her appointment by President George W. Bush on April 29, 2005. She was sworn into office on May 5, 2005. Before joining CPSC, Nord was the Director of Federal Government Relations for the Eastman Kodak Company.

As a teenager, he walked across the United States-Mexico border every day to attend a high school in nearby Eagle Pass, Texas, from which he graduated as valedictorian just three years after beginning to learn English.

    Frank Elmore Ross (April 2,1874 - September 21,1960) was an American astronomer and physicist. He was born in San Francisco, California and died in Altadena, California. In 1901 he received his doctorate from the University of California. In 1905 he became director of the International Latitude Observatory station at Gaithersburg, Maryland. In 1915 he became a physicist for Eastman Kodak Company at Rochester, New York.
