  1. Erik Johnson

    Erik Johnson (born March 21, 1988 in Bloomington, Minnesota) is an American ice hockey player. He most recently played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers men's hockey team as a freshman. He decided to leave after just one year to join the St. Louis Blues of the NHL who made him the first overall pick in the 2006 NHL Entry Draft.

  2. Peter Docter

    Peter Docter was born on August 10, 1968 in Bloomington, Minnesota, USA. He is a film director, best known for "Monsters, Inc.", a Pixar film. He graduated from John F. Kennedy High School in Bloomington, Minnesota. He is also a former member of the Mentor Connection. Peter Docter has been an integral part of some of the most seminal works of Pixar Studios, notably "Toy Story", "Toy Story 2", "A Bugs Life" and "Monsters, Inc.".

  3. Tom Burnett

    Thomas Edward Burnett (May 29, 1963 - September 11, 2001), was the vice president and COO of a Pleasanton, California, medical devices company, Thoratec Corporation. At the time of his death, Mr. Burnett resided in San Ramon, California. He graduated from Thomas Jefferson Senior High School in Bloomington, Minnesota in 1981 after leading the football team to the state semi-finals as their starting quarterback.

  4. Kent Hrbek

    Kent Hrbek (aka Herbie) (born May 21, 1960 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a former American Major League Baseball player. He played fourteen seasons for the Minnesota Twins at first base, and batted left handed. Fans knew "Herbie" as an outstanding defensive player at his position and a perennial slugger, as well as being charismatic and often chewing bubble gum. He attended Kennedy High School in Bloomington, Minnesota.

    Mark Parrish (born 2 February, 1977 in Bloomington, Minnesota) is an American ice hockey right winger who currently plays for the Minnesota Wild of the NHL.

  7. Ben Clymer

    Ben Clymer (born April 11, 1978 in Bloomington, Minnesota) is a winger with the Washington Capitals of the NHL. He attended and played hockey for Bloomington Jefferson High School and the University of Minnesota. He was formerly with the Tampa Bay Lightning and was part of the 2004 Stanley Cup Championship team. He also played one season with the EHC Biel in the second Swiss division.

  8. Tom Gilbert

    Tom Gilbert (born January 10, 1983 in Bloomington, Minnesota) is an American ice hockey defenceman currently playing for the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL. Played his high school hockey for Minnesota powerhouse, Bloomington Jefferson. He was the captain his senior year (2001). That same year he switched to forward from defense, which he played as a sophomore and junior. He responded by scoring 4 goals in his first game at forward against a strong Hill-Murray team.

  9. Ben Hendrickson

    Benjamin John Hendrickson (b. February 4, 1981, St. Cloud, Minnesota) is a pitcher in the Kansas City Royals organization. He has a career Major League earned run average of 6.48 and has played in 13 games in his career, 3 in 2006 and 10 in 2004. Hendrickson also has 58 innings pitched. Hendrickson was a 10th round draft pick of the Milwaukee Brewers in 1999. Hendrickson struggled in his major league starts in early 2006, twice struggling to get out of the first inning.

  10. Tom Kurvers

    Thomas "Tom" Kurvers (born October 14, 1962, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA) is a retired professional ice hockey defenceman who spent 11 seasons in the National Hockey League between 1984 and 1995. He was a member of the 1986 Stanley Cup Champion Montreal Canadiens. Currently, he serves as an executive for the Phoenix Coyotes.

  11. Christian Elder

    Christian Elder (born December 6, 1968 in Bloomington, Minnesota) is a former NASCAR driver. He raced in the Busch Series for Akins Motorsports for two years. He made his debut in 2001, running his first race at Las Vegas for Akins and started the race in 32nd, and he finished 23rd. In sixteen starts, only managed two top-20s (a pair of 20ths at Bristol and Dover). Elder began running races for Akins in 2002 full-time. However, he did not make many races.

  12. Brian Glick

    Brian Glick was a homicide victim murdered at the age of 21 on October 25, 1993 by Dennis Tate and Michael Olson in Bloomington, Minnesota. Glick’s murder was a shock to the Twin Cities community and his death and the subsequent trials of his murders received widespread attention in the Twin Cities press.

  13. Toby Petersen

    Toby Petersen (born October 27, 1978 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is a professional ice hockey right winger who currently plays for the Dallas Stars. He attended Colorado College, and was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins 244th overall in the 9th round of the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. On Game 3 of the Western Conference Final in the 2005-06 playoffs, Toby Petersen scored his first ever NHL playoff goal against the Anaheim Ducks.

    Steve Rushin (b. September 22, 1966 in Elmhurst, IL) wrote a weekly column, "Air and Space", for "Sports Illustrated" magazine. Formerly labeled "Steve Rushin's Air and Space", the column ran from 1998-2007 and concentrated on subjects within and sometimes tangential to sports. He was named the 2005 National Sportswriter of the Year by the National Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association.

    Steve Peterson is a city council member in the city of Bloomington, Minnesota. He was first elected to the city council to a term starting in 2000. According to his web site, Peterson has been a lifelong Bloomington resident. Peterson's focus on the council has been financial and public safety issues. Peterson is considered the more financially conservative council member.

Within 24 hours of private beta launch, 15,000 people had requested an invite for the service. Leah is the web developer for the site and spends most of her time working on feature development, fixing bugs, and scaling the website. Leah's past projects include recruiting ad sponsors to help her purchase a MacBook Pro laptop.
