    Mary Loretta Landrieu (born November 23, 1955) is the Senior Democratic United States senator from the state of Louisiana, as well as the first, and as of 2007, only woman from that state to be elected to the Senate. She is the daughter of former New Orleans mayor Moon Landrieu and the sister of current Louisiana Lieutenant Governor Mitch Landrieu.
