1. Mike Bromwich

    Mike Bromwich - Technical Director Mike graduated from Lancaster University with a degree in Information Engineering - combined Computer Science and Electronics. This forms the basis of Mike's extensive knowledge of IT, Telecommunications and Networking. Shortly after graduating, and together with Phil Adcock (also a graduate of Lancaster), Mike co-founded Advanced Systems Consultants - an IT consultancy and bespoke software house.

  2. Dj Clark

    DJ Clark graduated from Lancaster University in 1984 and went on to work as a photojournalist. In 1989 he took a job in Ramallah, West Bank, which led to a new interest in working for aid agencies. By 1991 he had established himself as a freelance photographer working for both news publications and aid agencies worldwide. Returning to the UK he established Folly , an agency producing still and moving images for aid agencies.

  3. Alexis Weber

    Alexis Weber Portfolio Analyst Alexis joined 3i in September 2006. He specialises on the Venture Capital quoted assets and European divestments. Prior to joining 3i Alexis worked as a research analyst in the Healthcare & Consumer Group of Credit Suisse Europe. During his time at Credit Suisse, Alexis worked on equity, debt and M&A transactions for Consumer & Healthcare European companies.

  4. Nicholas Race

    Dr. Nicholas Race Nicholas graduated from Lancaster University in 1996 with a degree in Computer Science. Following this, he joined the Distributed Multimedia Research Group as a research student. During his time with the group, he has worked on a number of European projects, including CoBrow, Eurescom P702 and PeterPan (Provision of an Enhanced Transport by Exploiting Reservation in IP and ATM Networks).

  5. Katherine Thackeray

    Katherine joined the IHR in October 2003. As Programme Administrator she provides full administrative support to the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology programme and manages the departmental office. Katherine graduated from Lancaster University in 1999 with a BSc (Hons) Educational Studies & Psychology and from the University of Central Lancashire in 2002 with a MA Learning Disabilities.

  6. Paddy Hopkins

    Paddy Hopkins Paddy works in NHS Highland as the Head of Health Intelligence & Knowledge. Having graduated from Lancaster University in 1983 in Management Sciences, he has worked within the NHS for over 20 years and has extensive knowledge of NHS information and data. Since moving to the Highlands in 1997 Paddy has been working closely with colleagues in Public Health, the Highland Wellbeing Alliance, and the former Public Health Institute of Scotland.

  7. Gemma Keats

    Gemma Keats - Research Assistant Gemma joined PRCI in November 2004. She graduated from Lancaster University with a BA (Hons) in English Language in 2002. Since then she has received a distinction in her MA in Applied Research and Consultancy, also from the University of Lancaster.

  8. Paul Woodward

    Paul Woodward Senior lecturer (full-time) Paul graduated from Lancaster University in 1989 after which he worked as a director, performer and writer for the physical/experimental theatre companies Sculpture (West Midlands) and Glory What Glory (Lancaster/London). After working as a secondary school teacher, he then completed a MA in Theatre at Royal Holloway.

  9. Nicola Ma

    Nicola Ma is a Project Manager at SmithStreetSolutions. Previously, she was an Assistant Branch Manager in a medical company in the UK. Nicola also has experience in doing consultancy projects in the UK. Her experience in China includes translation, interpretation and teaching. Nicola graduated from Lancaster University with a M.Sc. in Management. Nicola is enthusiastic about watching sports, especially F1 racing, tennis, football, and basketball.

  10. Rachel Hemmings

    Rachel joined the IHR in September 2003. She works in the office of Clinical Psychology and offers secretarial support to both the clinical tutors and trainee clinical psychologists. Rachel graduated from Lancaster University in 2003 with a BA (Hons) Philosophy.

  11. Emily Phillips

    Emily graduated from Lancaster University in 2005 with a degree in history, where she first became interested in the history of science and medicine, the latter of which she chose to pursue further by taking her masters degree in 2006/7 at the Welcome Trust Centre for the History of Medicine in London. Although blinded by the big city lights, she was nevertheless persuaded to return to the north when an opportunity to study for a PhD at SATSU presented itself.

  12. Ian Cannell

    Ian Cannell Ian graduated from Lancaster University in 2005 with a BSc in Biological Sciences. Ian started his PhD working jointly in the RNA Biology and the Tissue Engineering groups in October 2005. His research currently focuses on investigating the osteogenic differentiation of embryonic stem cells, with special emphasis on the changes in gene expression.

  13. Charlotte Townsend

    Charlotte joined Hardy as an non-marine underwriting assistant in November 2006. She graduated from Lancaster University in July 2005 with a BSc (Hons) in Business Studies. She is currently studying for the ACII.

  14. Lee Preston

    Lee Preston Lee joined us in January 2006 and brought five years' agency experience to Fill Recruitment. Lee's last agency position was as Senior Account Manager and she has worked across a range of diverse accounts and marketing disciplines in both a permanent and freelance capacity at agencies that include DP&A, Rapier, Marketing Drive/Boy Meets Girl and Publicis Dialog.

  15. In Lancaster Jacqueline

    Jacqueline is constantly seeking to hone and update her many skills and has attended courses ranging from marketing and fundraising (undertaking The Management Centre's 'National Arts Fundraising School'), to coaching and leadership with Manchester Airport and Vertex Training.. She has also undertaken accounting courses at Lancaster and Morecambe College. Most recently Jacqueline was awarded a professional development bursary from the Arts Council England Dance Department.

  16. Helen Boyle

    Helen successfully gained Advanced Skills Teacher (AST) status in May 2005. Subject focus: Citizenship. "Opening Minds has been an amazing Pilot project to be involved with at Campion school and I now dedicate a large proportion of my AST outreach time to developing the work we do at Campion and responding to National interest and development in this alternative curriculum.

  17. Polly Fletcher

    Polly Fletcher Polly graduated from Lancaster University before completing her studies at the Chester College of Law. Polly is experienced in employers liability, public liability, occupiers liability and road traffic accident cases. She qualified as a solicitor in November 2003. Polly is a member of APIL (Association of Personal Injury Lawyers)

    Ben Crystal Ben Crystal graduated from Lancaster University and has trained and worked as an actor.
