Terry Rossio (b. July 2 , 1960 is an American screenwriter and producer born in Kalamazoo, Michigan . Along with fellow screenwriter Ted Elliot , he has worked on the three Pirates of the Caribbean films. Rossio has worked mainly in the scifi/fantasy genre. His screenplay contributions have included Little Monsters , Aladdin , The Puppet Masters , Godzilla , Small Soldiers , Shrek , Treasure Planet , and Deja Vu . - Michaela Greeley
