Steve Sampson (born January 19, 1957 in Salt Lake City, Utah) is a soccer coach, the former head coach of the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Sampson played college soccer at UCLA, Foothill Community College in Los Altos and San Jose State University, all three colleges located in California. At Foothill Community he earned All-American honors while playing on the 1976 California junior college state championship team.

Ardis G. Egan was the founder of Egan Junior High School, in Los Altos, California. He was also superintendent of the Los Altos School District during the 1950s. During his 21 year-term, he spearheaded a campaign that resulted in the construction of 14 new schools as he watched the elementary school population grow from 350 to more than 6,000. Ardis, with the help of Bert Schweitzer, Don Gordon, and Wallace Stanley, founded Los Altos's first service club, the Kiwanis Club.

Consuelo María ("Connie") Callahan is a federal judge on the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Judge Callahan was born in Palo Alto, California. She was raised in Fremont and attended public schools both in Fremont and in Los Altos. She graduated from Stanford University with a degree in Honors English in 1972. Callahan then attended law school at McGeorge School of Law, graduating in 1975.

Andrew Arnold Tink BA LLB MP (b. 13 July 1953) was an Australian politician, serving as a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 2007. George Clifford Sziklai (July 9, 1909 in Budapest, Hungary - September 9, 1998 in Los Altos, California) was a renowned electronics engineer, who among many other contributions to radio and TV electronics invented the transistor configuration named after him, the Sziklai pair. Educated at the University of Budapest and the Technical Institute of Munich, Sziklai emigrated to New York in 1930.

Richard Joseph Garcia (born April 24, 1947, San Francisco, California) is an American Roman Catholic bishop. He was appointed by Pope Benedict XVI to be the fourth ordinary bishop of the Diocese of Monterey in California on December 19, 2006, and was installed at a Mass celebrated by Cardinal Roger Mahony on January 30, 2007. Garcia was ordained to the priesthood on June 15, 1973 for the Archdiocese of San Francisco at Sacred Heart Parish in San Jose, California.
