Greg Kampe (born December 5, 1955) is the head men's basketball coach at Oakland University. He guided the Golden Grizzlies to their first NCAA tournament and tournament win in 2005. He has compiled a 379-287 record in 23 seasons at Oakland University (as of the completion of 2006-07 season).

Carter was born in Detroit, Michigan, and began as a classical violinist but became increasingly interested in jazz, and is considered one of the finest violinists in the genre. Carter attended Cass Technical High School with close friend, Carla Cook, who was enthusiastic about jazz, and introduced her to the likes of Ella Fitzgerald. She makes use of her cultural heritage in her work, referencing especially Cherokee place names in her poetry.

Jesse Richard Pitts (1921 - 2003), author and educator, was born in East Palestine, Ohio on June 13, 1921. The son of a veterinarian and a French warbride, he was raised in Ohio and France. Tom Fitzgerald (March 14, 1951 - December 4, 2004) was an American soccer coach. Fitzgerald played soccer at the University of South Florida, where he graduated in 1974. He got his first head coaching job at Jesuit High School in Tampa, Florida where he coached from 1978 to 1981. He led the team to two district championships with a 35-11-6 record. He was hired by the University of Tampa as an assistant coach in 1981 and became the team's head coach in 1987.
