  1. Gary Neville

    Gary Alexander Neville (born February 18, 1975 in Bury, Greater Manchester) is an English footballer who is England's most capped right full back, and Manchester United's club captain. Neville started his career at Old Trafford as a central defender, but was later converted into a full back because it was felt he may have been too short to play centrally.

    Adam Craig Gilchrist (born 14 November 1971 in Bellingen, New South Wales), nicknamed "Gilly" or "Church", is an Australian cricketer. He made his first-class debut in 1992, his first One-Day International appearance in 1996 and his Test debut in 1999. He has been Australia's vice-captain in both forms of the game since 2000, captaining the team when regular captains Steve Waugh and Ricky Ponting were unavailable.

  3. Gerard Piqué

    Gerard Piqué Bernabeu is a Spanish football player. He was purchased by Manchester United from FC Barcelona B on 1 July 2004 then in the 2006-07 season loaned out to Real Zaragoza. He has performed consistently at this level and many fans have high hopes for him. He made his first appearance with Manchester United on 26 October 2004 against Crewe Alexandra. He has also played for the Spanish U17 and U19 teams.

  4. Sylvain Wiltord

    Sylvain Wiltord (born May 10, 1974 in Neuilly-sur-Marne) is a French football forward whose parents come from Guadeloupe, France. With the French national team, Wiltord has won Euro 2000 and reached the finals of the 2006 FIFA World Cup. Wiltord played for Stade Rennais (1992-97), Girondins de Bordeaux (1997-2000), Arsenal F.C. (2000-04), and since 2004 has been a member of Olympique Lyonnais. For France, Wiltord has been capped 90 times, scoring 26 goals.

  5. Roger Byrne

    Roger William Byrne, (September 8, 1929 - February 6, 1958), was an English footballer and a captain of Manchester United F.C. He was one of the eight Manchester United players that lost their lives in the Munich air disaster on February 6, 1958. He made 33 appearances for the England team, and was captain of Manchester United from the 1953-54 season onwards, playing as a full-back having previously been fielded as an outside-left (left winger).

    Michael Christopher Phelan (born September 24, 1962 in Nelson, Lancashire) was an English football player. He was a versatile player and played in midfield and defence. Mike is currently employed as Manchester United's First Team Coach, working alongside Sir Alex Ferguson and Carlos Queiroz. Mike Phelan began his career at Burnley, signing as an associated schoolboy in July 1979, as an apprentice two years later and as a professional in July 1980.

After an England A tour to Kenya and Sri Lanka in the winter - making his first-class debut in Nairobi - Read was picked up by Nottinghamshire for the 1998 season.
