- Jean Paul Lemieux
Jean Paul Lemieux, CC, GOQ (18 November, 1904 - 7 December, 1990) is one of the foremost painters of twentieth century Québec. He was born in Québec City, where he also died (Colin S. Macdonald claims he died in Montréal). He was raised in Québec City until 1916, when his family moved to Berkeley, California. In 1917, the family returned to Québec and settled in Montréal.

Alfred Pellan, CC (16 May, 1906 - 31 October, 1988) is an important figure in twentieth-century Québec painting. He was born in Québec City in 1906. From the age of fourteen until his graduation in 1926 he studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Québec. The same year, he became the first recipient of a fine-arts scholarship from the Québec government, which allowed him to study at the École supérieure nationale des beaux-arts de Paris.

- Gerry McNeil
Gerald George McNeil is a former professional ice hockey goaltender who won two Stanley Cups with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1950s. Gerald is a two-time cup winner, fans will forever remember the Québec City, Québec native for two Cup-winning goals he gave up: to the Toronto Maple Leafs' Bill Barilko (1951), and a shot by Detroit Red Wings player Tony Leswick that was deflected by teammate Doug Harvey into the Canadiens goal (1954).
- Elzéar-Alexandre Taschereau
Elzéar-Alexandre Taschereau was a Roman Catholic Archbishop of Quebec City and the first Canadian cardinal. His father was Jean-Thomas Taschereau, a son of Gabriel-Elzéar Taschereau, the patriarch of this rather remarkable French Canadian family. Born in 1820 he studied at the Séminaire de Québec (1826-36, 1837-42) and, by all accounts, was a highly regarded student.
- Denis Lortie
Denis Lortie is a former Canadian army corporal. In 1984, he stormed into the National Assembly of Quebec building and killed three Quebec government employees. A corporal with the Royal 22<sup>e</sup> Régiment of the Canadian Forces, Lortie was disgruntled with a number of policies of the Quebec and federal governments. He planned a killing spree as a means of broadcasting his discontent.

Christian Bouchard is an electroacoustic music composer born June 19, 1968 in Québec City, Canada, and currently living in Montréal, Canada. Following the completion of his college studies in guitar, he makes his first recording in 1995, "Factotum", devoted to the prepared guitar. At around the same time, he collaborates on the production of radio programs where he performs his first electroacoustic attempts.
- Trevor Eyton
John Trevor Eyton, OC, QC, BA, LL.B (born July 12, 1934 in Quebec City) is a Canadian businessman, former lawyer, and Senator. Senator Eyton was born in Québec City in 1934 and was educated and raised in Quebec and Toronto. He was educated at Beaupré Public School and Jarvis Collegiate Institute. In 1957 he received his Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, and earned his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Toronto Law School in 1960.

John Larkin Kerwin was a Canadian physicist. Born in Québec City, he studied physics at Saint Francis Xavier University and obtained his Masters degree in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His received his D.Sc. from Université Laval. He was Chairman of the Department of Physics from 1961 to 1967. He was the lay Rector of Université Laval, holding this position from 1972 to 1977.
