A resident of Edmonton, Alberta, he represented Canada in four consecutive Summer Olympics starting in 1992 (Barcelona, Spain). Berrett is married to former field hockey international Tara Croxford, who also competed at the Barcelona Games for her native country.

Nathan Deakes (born August 17, 1977) is an Australian race walker. He won a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, and is a four-time Commonwealth Games gold medallist. He won gold in the 20km walk and 50km walk events at both the 2002 Manchester Games and the 2006 Melbourne Games, becoming the first man to win both the 20km and 50km walks at two consecutive Commonwealth Games.

Jane Saville (born November 5, 1974 in Sydney) is an Australian race walker who won a bronze medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. Saville, from an athletically-inclined family, competed in swimming and surf lifesaving events as well as walking as a junior athlete. She has competed at three Olympics, with a midfield result in 1996. However, she became a household name at the Sydney games during an emotional disqualification.
