Frank W. Cyr, Ph.D. (July 7, 1900 – August 1, 1995) was an American educator and author. As a specialist in rural education, he organized the United States' first national standards conference for school transportation in 1939, starting what became an ongoing cooperative effort by those building and operating school buses.

Etan Kalil Patz was a six-year-old child who disappeared in lower Manhattan on May 25, 1979. At the time, news coverage of Patz's disappearance was made into a media circus in the New York area. Albert L. Luce was an American industrialist. He is best known for founding the Blue Bird Body Company, a bus and recreational vehicle manufacturer now known as Blue-Bird Corporation which is now one of three major large (full-sized) school bus manufacturers in North America.

Dusty Whittemore competed in the Junior Iditarod.The first one he lost and the second and third ones he won. He lost his first race by getting lost on the trail and he finished in fourth place. Dusty owned 17 sled dogs but used only ten in his first victory in 1995. Upon winning his first race he stated, "I would have had a smile on my face for last place but victory feels good." Dusty lived in Cantwell, Alaska which only had 4 high school students.

I love my job. I adore my bus kids. They make me so greatful I am healthy and strong. Ok, I love my motorcycle, my truck, my music, my freedom. My favorite place in the world is in the woods taking pictures of everything beautiful. I just got some ok shots of a Bald Eagle and her frightened babes. I feel safe and free and close to God when I am in the wilderness. I live a very simple life.
