1. Jerry Fairbanks

    Gerald Bertram Fairbanks was born in San Francisco, California USA on November 1, 1904, and survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake. He began his career in film as a cameraman on silent movies (John Barrymore's "The Sea Beast") followed by work on early sound productions such as Howard Hughes' film "Hell's Angels" where he participated both as a biplane pilot and aerial cinematographer for the extensive WWI dogfight scenes.

    Scott Hastings Beckett (October 4, 1929 - May 10, 1968), better known as Scotty Beckett was an American child actor. He is best remembered for his parts in the "Our Gang" and "Rocky Jones, Space Ranger" series.

  4. Lillian Randolph

    Lillian Randolph (December 14 1898 - September 12 1980) was an African American actress and singer, a veteran of radio, film, and television. A native of Louisville, Kentucky, she was the younger sister of actress Amanda Randolph. She worked in entertainment from the 1930s well into the 1970s, appearing in hundreds of radio shows, motion pictures, short subjects, and television shows.

  5. June Marlowe

    June Marlowe (November 6, 1903 - March 10, 1984), was an American actress, most notable for appearing in six "Our Gang" short subjects as the lovely schoolteacher 'Miss Crabtree'. Marlowe was born Gisela Goetten, of German heritage, in St. Cloud, Minnesota. She was a prolific actress in silent films during the 1920s, appearing in films opposite John Barrymore and Rin Tin Tin. Her career did well, until the addition of sound to film.

  6. John Halas

    John Halas was a Hungarian animator. (b. 16 April 1912 Budapest, Hungary - d. 21 January 1995, London, England). He learned his craft under George Pal, but launched his own career in 1934, and two years later moved to England where he and his wife Joy Batchelor founded Halas and Batchelor. Over the years they made over 70 short subjects during the war, using propaganda from the time.

  7. Carl Switzer

    Carl Dean "Alfalfa" Switzer (August 7, 1927 - January 21, 1959) was an American child actor, professional dog breeder and expert hunting guide, most notable for appearing in the "Our Gang" short subjects series as Alfalfa, one of the series' most popular and best-remembered characters.

  8. Jean Darling

    Jean Darling (born Dorothy Jean LeVake on August 23, 1922) is a former American child actress who was a regular in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1927 to 1929. In 1926 at the age of four, Jean got her big break when she passed her screen test and was accepted for a part in the Hal Roach Our Gang series. By that stage her name had been changed to Jean Darling. Jean appeared in 35 Our Gang films during this period.

  9. Dorothy Deborba

    Dorothy Adelle DeBorba (born March 28, 1925) is a former American 1930s child actress who was a regular in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1930 to 1933. She is of Portuguese Azorean ancestry. DeBorba was with "Our Gang" for three years, beginning her career at age five in 1930s "Pups Is Pups". Quickly, Dorothy became an audience favorite with her trademark curls and elaborate hair bows.

  10. Jerry Tucker

    Jerry Tucker (born Jerome H. Schatz on November 1, 1925 in Chicago, Illinois) is a former American child actor, most notable for appearing as the "rich kid" in the "Our Gang" short subjects series semi-regularly from 1931 to 1938. Tucker went on to serve in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean War. He later went on to marry his wife Myra and have a long successful career with RCA before retiring.

    Amanda Randolph (September 2 1896 - August 24 1967) was an African American actress and singer. She was a native of Louisville, Kentucky, and was the older sister of actress Lillian Randolph. She began her career in black musical revues in the 1920s. She worked in films from the 1930s to the 1960s, and was one of the first black women to become a comedy favorite on television.   12. Wally Albright

    Wally Albright (Walton Algernon Albright, Jr.) (September 3, 1925 - August 7, 1999) was an American former child actor. Born in Burbank, CA, Albright appeared in a number of films during his career, and is notable for appearing as a main character in the "Our Gang" short subjects series in 1934. He only starred on Our Gang for about 6 months appearing in only five episodes plus one additional episode in 1932. But he had lead roles in the five episodes from 1934.

    Mary Ann Jackson was an American former child actress who appeared in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1928 to 1931. She was a native of Los Angeles, California.

  14. Donald Haines

    Donald Haines (1918-1941?) was an American child actor who was a recurring in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1929 to 1933. His tenure began during the early talkees up through the "Miss Crabtree episodes", where he would leave for feature films at Paramount only to return a few months later. His tenure countinued through the "early Spanky episodes". His first short was "Shivering Shakespere" made at the tail end of 1929 and released early in 1930.

  15. Jackie Lynn Taylor

    Jackie Lynn Taylor (Jacqueline Hope Taylor Fries) (born ca. 1925) is an American former child actress, notable for appearing in five "Our Gang" short subjects in 1934-1935. She often portrayed the sister or girlfriend of one of the boys, usually Wally Albright. Jackie has come a long way from being the coy, little blond leading lady of "Our Gang." In 1951, she joined KTTV as the hostess of the first daily two-hour variety show in the Los Angeles area.

  16. Leonard Kibrick

    Leonard Kibrick (September 6, 1924 - January 4, 1993), was an American former child actor, most notable for appearing in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1934 to 1936, usually portraying the villain. His role as the bully in the series was taken over by Tommy Bond (as "Butch") in 1937, and Leonard's younger brother Sidney Kibrick portrayed Butch's sidekick, "The Woim". A native of Minneapolis, Minnesota, Kibrick died of cancer on January 4, 1993.

    Andy Samuel (April 10, 1909 - March 5, 1992), a native of Los Angeles, California, was a child actor who appeared in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1923 to 1925.

  18. Janet Burston

    Janet Burston (January 11, 1935 - March 3, 1998) was an American child actress who was the final leading lady in the "Our Gang" short subjects series, replacing Darla Hood in 1942. She appeared in a few outside films as well, leaving show business in the late 1940s, eventually becoming a housewife. Burston died of cancer on March 3, 1998. She was 63.

  19. Harry Spear

    Harry Spear (December 16, 1921 - September 22, 2006) was a former American child actor, notable for appearing in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1927 to 1929. He was a native of Los Angeles, California. Spear's whereabouts after he ended his tenure in "Our Gang" remained a mystery for over half a century, but it is now known that he died in San Diego, California in 2006.

  20. Sidney Kibrick

    Sidney Kibrick (born on July 2, 1928 in Minneapolis, Minnesota) is an American former child actor, most notable for appearing in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1935 to 1939. From 1937 to 1939, he portrayed "The Woim", the sidekick of the neighborhood bully "Butch", played by Tommy Bond. He is the brother of Leonard Kibrick, himself an "Our Gang" bully.

  21. Albert Hibbs

    Albert R. Hibbs was a noted mathematician, known worldwide as "the voice of JPL". He was born in Akron, Ohio on October 19, 1924. He died on February 24, 2003 of complications following heart surgery. Hibbs was chosen to become an astronaut on an Apollo moon mission, but the program ended before his turn came. In 1949, Hibbs and Roy Walford took time off, from graduate school and medical school respectively, to go to Reno and Las Vegas to beat the casinos at roulette.

  22. Bobby "wheezer" Hutchins

    Bobby Hutchins (Robert E. Hutchins) (March 29, 1925 - March 17, 1945) was an American child actor who was a regular in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1926 to 1933. A native of Tacoma, Washington, he was given the nickname of Wheezer after running around the studios on his first day so much that he began to wheeze. After outgrowing the series, Wheezer and his family eventually moved back to Tacoma, where he entered public school.

  23. Darwood "waldo" Kaye

    Darwood Kenneth Smith, also known by the stagename Darwood Kaye (September 81929 - May 152002) was an American former child actor, most notable for his semi-regular role as the snooty rich kid Waldo in the "Our Gang" short subjects series from 1937 to 1940. As an adult, Smith became a Seventh-day Adventist pastor, ministering at several churches until his accidental death in 2002.
