  1. Ma Lin

    Ma Lin (馬琳) (February 19, 1980)is a table tennis player born in the Shenyang, Liaoning Province of China. He is currently the world's number two (as of 2007) ranked player. He learned to play table tennis at the age of six and became a member of the provincial team in 1990. In 1994, he joined the Chinese national team. He is considered to have some of the best serves in the world.

  2. Wang Liqin

    Wang Liqin (born June 18, 1978, Jiangsu, China) is a Chinese table tennis player. He is best known for his tournament play and is thought to have the best forehand drive in the world. He is currently ranked by the ITTF as number one in the world. He began playing at the age of 6 and was picked for the Chinese men's national squad in 1993 when he was only 15 years old.

  3. Wang Hao

    Wang Hao (born December 15, 1983 in Changchun) is a Chinese table tennis player. He won the silver medal in men's singles at the 2004 Summer Olympics Games. He lost to Korean penhold player Ryu Seung Min. He is now the world's third highest ranked player.

  4. Timo Boll

    Timo Boll is a German table tennis player. He started playing in Cangallo, where he won his first amateur tournament. In 2003, he was ranked number 1 in the world; as of January 1 2006, he is ranked number 2 and as of January 1 2007 he is ranked number 3. He is a left handed player whose best weapon is his forehand topspin drive but is also noted for his extremely quick backhand loop. He won the Champions' League with his club TTV Rebau Gönnern in the season of 2005/06.

  5. Wang Nan

    Wang Nan is a world-class table tennis player from Liaoning, China. Wang remained as world #1 on the ITTF ranking system from 1999 to 2001. She is left-handed, and began playing table tennis when she was seven years old. Her particular skills are changing the placement of the ball during rallies and her loop drive, as well as her notable speed. Wang has been the leader of the Chinese women's table-tennis team of China after Deng Yaping's retirement.

  7. Speed Glue

    In table tennis speed glue is glue that is used to re-fix the rubber surfaces to the racket or paddle. Speed glue is usually applied around 30 minutes before a match starts. The use of speed glue has been found to increase the elasticity of the racket, which adds speed and spin to the ball. Speed glue works by its solvent vapours which make the porous cells of soft rubber expand.

She is left-handed/shakehand/attack player and comes from Anshan, Liaoning, China, the province where Wang Nan, Chang Chenchen and Li Jia (all left-handed players) come from. She is, although young in age, very brilliant. Her skills are very thorough and she is always consistent in games.She is the potential leading player in Chinese woman team.

  9. Ryu Seung-Min

    Ryu Seung-Min (born August 5, 1982) is a Korean table tennis player who won the gold medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's singles competition. His opponent was Wang Hao, a top-seeded player from Chinese national team. Along the way, he defeated 1992 Olympic champion Jan-Ove Waldner. Ryu is currently ranked seventh in the world.

  10. Jan-Ove Waldner

    Jan-Ove (JO) Waldner (nicknamed Lao Wa in China) is a Swedish table tennis player, born October 3, 1965. He is known as the Mozart of table tennis and is a legend in both his native Sweden as well as in China. Waldner's potential was recognized at an early age and was displayed in 1982 as a 17 year old when he reached the final of the European Championship, losing to teammate Mikael Appelgren.

  11. Chen Qi

    Chen Qi (陈杞) (born April 15, 1984 in Nantong, Jiangsu) is a Chinese table tennis player. He won the gold medal in men's doubles at the 2004 Summer Olympics with Ma Lin. He also won the 2007 World Table Tennis Championship in men's doubles with Ma Lin. He is also a successful singles player, having been consistently ranked in the world's top 10 since 2004. Chen Qi is known as one of the few top-ranked Chinese players to play left-handed.

    Werner Schlager (born September 28 1972) is a successful and former world champion table tennis player from Austria. Schlager began playing table tennis when he was 6 years old, learning from his father and brother who were also top Austrian players, making them ideal training partners. After placing top in numerous singles and doubles tournaments, he won the 2003 Singles World Champonship held in Paris beating Korean Joo Se Hyuk in the finals to clinch the top spot.

    Jean-Michel Saive (born November 17, 1969 in Liège, Belgium) is a Belgian professional table tennis player. Born in a table tennis playing family, Saive was predestined to become a very good table tennis player and began playing as a small boy. His father was the tenth ranking Belgian player and his mother won the Belgian ladies' doubles championships when she was pregnant with him.

    Li Ching (born 7 March 1975) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong, China. He is best known for the joint silver medal he won for Hong Kong at the Athens Olympic in 2004.

    Achanta Sharath Kamal (born 12 July, 1982) is a professional table tennis player hailing from Tamilnadu, India. He won the men's singles gold in the 16th Commonwealth table tennis championship held at Kuala Lumpur in 2004. He also captained the Indian men's team that won the team title at the same championship by defeating favourites and nine-time champions England. He is a recipient of the Arjuna award for the year 2004.

  19. Ko Lai Chak

    Ko Lai Chak (born 10 May 1976) is a table tennis player from Hong Kong, China. He won a silver medal at the 2004 Summer Olympics in the men's doubles alongside Li Ching. At the 2006 Asian Games he won two medals, a gold in the men's doubles again alongside Li Ching; and a bronze in the men's singles tournament and the men's team competition.

    Zoran Primorac is an accomplished male table tennis player from Croatia. Primorac was born in Zadar and started playing table tennis in the club STK "Bagat" in his home town.     Li Jiawei (born 9 August 1981 in Beijing) is a Singaporean table tennis player who finished in fourth-place in the women's singles at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens. In October 2005 she was ranked third in the ITTF world rankings, her highest individual ranking achieved, up from 8th position at the beginning of the year.     Richard Bergmann was an Austrian and British table tennis player. Winner of seven World Championships, including four Singles crowns, Bergmann was regarded as the greatest defensive player in table tennis history. In 1936 he won his first World title as a member of the Austrian Swaythling Cup (Men’s World Championship) Team. He won his first World Singles Championship one year later. and in doing so became the youngest player ever to win the title.

    Yoo Nam-Kyu (born June 4, 1968) is a former male table tennis player from South Korea who competed in the 1988 Summer Olympics, in the 1992 Summer Olympics, and in the 1996 Summer Olympics.
