- Albert Sabin
<b>Albert Bruce Sabin</b> (August 26, 1906 - March 3, 1993) was a renowned American medical researcher of Jewish and Polish ancestry who is best-known for having developed the hugely successful oral vaccine for polio. Born in 1906 in Białystok, Russia (now Poland), to Jewish parents, he emigrated in 1921 to America with his family. In 1930, he became a naturalized citizen of the United States. Sabin received a medical degree from New York University in 1931.

Bob Huggins (born September 21, 1953 in Morgantown, West Virginia) is the head coach of the West Virginia Mountaineers men's basketball team. Huggins previously held the head coaching positions at the University of Cincinnati (1989-2005) and Kansas State University (2006-2007). His 590-211 record (.737) during his 25 seasons as a head coach ranks him eighth in winning percentage and seventh in victories among active Division I coaches.

Kevin Edmund Youkilis (born March 15, 1979, in Cincinnati, Ohio), nicknamed "Youk" or "The Greek God of Walks", is an American first baseman and right-handed batter who plays for the Boston Red Sox. Although his family name name is derived from the Greek culture, Youkilis, a practicing Jew, is of Romanian decent. Charles Phelps Taft (December 21, 1843 - December 31, 1929) was an American lawyer and politician. Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, in the powerful Taft family, whose members had been in politics since at least 1815, he graduated from Yale University in 1864, where he later supported the founding of Wolf's Head Society, and from Columbia University's law department in 1866. In 1867 he received another degree from the University of Heidelberg.

Carl William Blegen was an archaeologist famous for his work on the site of Pylos in modern day Greece and Troy in modern day Turkey. Blegen was professor of classical archaeology at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio (1927–57). He directed the university's excavations of the mound of Hisarlik, the site of Troy, from 1932 to 1938.
