Jan van Dijk (born 1952) is a professor of sociology and communication science at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. He teaches and investigates the sociology of the information society and the social aspects of the new media. He developed the concept of the Network society in the book "The Network Society" and extended the concept of the Digital Divide in his book "The Deepening Divide, Inequality in the Information Society".

Hans Achterhuis, Ph.D. is Professor in Systematic Philosophy at the University of Twente, The Netherlands and one of the country's foremost philosophers. For now his research concerns particularly social and political philosophy and philosophy of technology. His list of publications shows a great scope (in fields of medical care, labour, third-world-philosophy). In 1967 he took his doctoral degree on Albert Camus.

Anna Theodora Berandrina (Ank) Bijleveld-Schouten (IJmuiden, 17 march 1962) is a Dutch politician. Since 2007 she is state secretary for Home Affairs and Kingdom Relations. Previously she was mayor of Hof van Twente for the Christian Democratic Appeal. Between 1980 and 1986 she studied public administration at the University of Twente. In 1986 she became member of the Enschede municipal council for the CDA. After the 1989 election she became member of the Tweede Kamer.

- Thomas Hoppe
Thomas Hoppe (1980) holds a Master’s degree in public administration. He completed his study at the University of Twente, where he majored in public policy and minored in process management in the construction sector. As part of his public administration degree, Thomas served in a year-long internship at the Ministry of Social Housing, Spatial and Environmental Policy, working for the Environmental License project team.

Dr. Jerry Y.S. Lin is professor and interim department chair of chemical engineering at the Arizona State University in Tempe. He was a professor of chemical engineering and co-director of the NSF Center for Membrane Applied Science and Technology at University of Cincinnati prior to joining ASU in January, 2005. Dr. Lin received B.S. (1982) from Zhejiang University in China, and M.S. (1985) and Ph.D (1988) from Worcester Polytechnic Institute in the U.S., all in chemical engineering.
