    Richard Guarasci was appointed President of Wagner College on Staten Island, NY, effective June 1, 2002. He had previously served as Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs at Wagner and holds the rank of Professor of Political Science, teaching in the areas of democracy, citizenship and American diversity.   3. Paul Zindel

    Paul Zindel (May 15, 1936–March 27, 2003) was an American author and playwright. Throughout his teen years he wrote plays, though he trained as a chemist at Wagner College and spent six months working at Allied Chemical after graduating. He later quit and worked as a high school science teacher at Tottenville High School located on Staten Island NY. In 1965, he wrote The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, his first play that went into production.

  4. Dereck Whittenburg

    Dereck Whittenburg is the current head men's basketball coach at Fordham University. Prior to coming to Fordham, Whittenburg served as the head coach of the Wagner Seahawks. Whittenburg is perhaps most famous for being a member of the NC State Wolfpack team which won the 1983 NCAA national title. Whittenburg took the final shot of the championship game which was short, but then put back by Lorenzo Charles for the game-winning dunk.

    Kathy Brier (born March 10, 1975 on Staten Island in New York) is an American actress. Brier has played the role of Marcie Walsh McBain on ABC soap opera "One Life to Live" since 2002.     Robert Kelly (born September 24, 1935) is an American poet associated with the deep image group. Kelly was born in Brooklyn, New York, to Samuel Jason and Margaret Rose (Kane) Kelly. He did his undergraduate studies at the City College of the City University of New York, graduating in 1955. He then spent three years at Columbia University. He has worked as a translator and teacher, most notably at Bard College, where he has worked since 1961.

    Mordechai Rozanski became Rider University’s sixth president on August 1 2003. In his first year, he has built upon both the foundation of his predecessors and Rider’s rich history. President Rozanski’s 30-year record of higher education leadership includes service at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Wagner College, on Staten Island, New York until his appointment as president of the University of Guelph, in Ontario, Canada, where he served from 1993 to 2003.

  11. Arno Rafael Minkkinen

    Arno Rafael Minkkinen is a documentary photographer. Minkkinen is known for his black and white abstract pieces which juxtapose bodies and landscapes in surprising ways. Minkkinen was born in Helsinki, Finland in 1945. After his family moved to the United States, Minkkinen graduated from Wagner College in 1967 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature.
