Neil Alden Armstrong (born August 5, 1930) is a former American astronaut, test pilot, university professor, and naval aviator. He was the first human being to set foot on an extraterrestrial world (The Moon). His first spaceflight was "Gemini 8" in 1966, for which he was the command pilot. James Benson Irwin (March 17, 1930 - August 8, 1991) was a member of the Apollo 15 mission in 1971 and the eighth man to walk on the Moon. After health complications during the Apollo 15 mission forced him into retirement, James Irwin would go on to create High Flight a Christian youth organization.
