    Zeenat Aman, born November 19, 1951) is an Indian actress. Zeenat Aman was born to a Muslim father and a Hindu mother. Amanullah, her father was one of the writers for the movie "Mughal-e-Azam" and he died when Zeenat was just 13. Aman graduated from St. Xavier's School in Mumbai and went to Los Angeles for her studies. Upon returning to India, she first took a job as a journalist for "Femina" and then later on moved on to modeling.

    Ehsan Aman is an Afghanistani singer. He is one of the few veterans of Afghanistan’s lost musical Golden Age who've maintained their popularity over the decades. He already had public exposure in Afghanistan in the 1970s and early 1980s with his first singles and the performances he held at Kabul University. Exiled since the early 80s in the USA, he has continued his music from the state of Virginia which has also been since then his residence.

  10. Amos Yadlin

    Aluf (Major General) Amos Yadlin was a general in the Israeli Air Force and is currently the head of Aman (IDF) (military intelligence). Before being promoted to head of Aman, Yadlin was the IDF military attaché to Washington. Previously in his career he headed the IDF National Defense College. Yadlin was also an officer in the Israeli Air Force, participating in Operation Opera which destroyed the Iraqi nuclear reactor, and served as Deputy Commander of the IDF.

  11. Meir Amit

    Meir Amit (born 17 March 1921) was the Director of the Mossad from 1963 to 1968. Born in Palestine during the British mandate, he fought for the Haganah during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War. In the late 1950s Amit studied in the United States, earning a business degree from Columbia Business School. After returning to Israel, Amit entered the Israeli intelligence community, first as a Major General at the head of IDF Intelligence in 1961, and then as Mossad Director in 1963.

  12. Eli Zeira

    Eli Zeira was a Major General in the Israeli Defense Forces. He was director of Aman, Israel's military intelligence, during the 1973 Yom Kippur War. He is most remembered for his ill-conceived prewar assessment that Egypt and Syria would not attack, despite intelligence to the contrary (also known as "The Concept"). The postwar Agranat Commission, set to investigate the reasons for the costly war, found Zeira to be negligent of his duty, and he resigned.

    Nahum Admoni (born 1929) was the Director of the Mossad from 1982 to 1989. Born in Jerusalem to Polish immigrants, he fought in the 1948 Arab-Israeli War in the SHAI, the Haganah intelligence branch, and later in the newly created Israeli Defense Force Intelligence. After the war he went to the United States and studied at the University of California, Berkeley, returning to Israel in 1954.

  17. Binyamin Gibli

    Col. Binyamin Gibli was the head of Aman from 1950 to 1955. As head he was responsible for launching "Operation Suzannah", whose purpose was to keep the British in the Suez Canal by creating an environment of instability. After carrying out a number of non-fatal bombings, Egyptian authorities unraveled the plot, which clearly pointed to Israeli involvement. Known as the Lavon Affair, this failure forced Gibli to resign his post.

    Professor Yuli Tamir (born Yael Tamir, 26 February 1954) is an Israeli scholar and politician and former Minister of Immigrant Absorption. She is now Minister of Education, representing the Labour Party. Between 1972-1974, she served in Aman's 848 Unit, and during the Yom Kippur War, she served as an officer in an outpost on the Sinai. Tamir received a BA in Biology and an MA in Political Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

  19. Yehoshua Saguy

    Major General Yehoshua Saguy was Director of Aman from 1979 to 1983. He was born 27 September 1933 in Jerusalem, then part of the British Mandate of Palestine. He entered the Israeli Defense Forces in 1951. From 1953 to 1954 he served in the Southern Command, fulfilling field duties. During the Suez War, he served as intelligence officer of the Armored Corps and as commander of a reconnaissance unit.

    Aman Mikael Andom was an important leader in the military coup which occurred in Ethiopia on September 12, 1974, in which a military committee deposed Emperor Haile Selassie. Andom then became de facto head of state of Ethiopia until November 17, 1974. He died under violent but unclear circumstances. Several theories have arisen, including the taking of his own life, as well as political assassination by rivals within the Derg.
