- Philip The Bold II, Duke of Burgundy
Philip the Bold (French: "Philippe le Hardi"), also Philip II, Duke of Burgundy (January 15, 1342, Pontoise - April 27, 1404, Halle), was the fourth son of King John II of France and his wife, Bonne of Luxembourg. By his marriage to Margaret III, Countess of Flanders, he also became Philip II, Count of Flanders, Philip IV, Count of Artois and Philip IV, Count Palatine of Burgundy.

Mstislav Mstislavich the Bold was one of the most popular and active princes of Kievan Rus' in the decades preceding Mongol invasion of Rus. He was the maternal grandfather of Alexander Nevsky and King Leo of Galicia. He was the son of Mstislav the Brave of Smolensk by a princess of Ryazan. In 1193 and 1203, his bravery in the Kypchak wars brought him fame all over Kievan Rus'. At that time, he married a daughter of Kypchak Khan Kotian.

Uchtred (or "Uhtred"), called the Bold, was the earl of Northumbria from 1006 to 1016, when he was assassinated. He was the son of Waltheof I, earl of Bernicia, whose ancient family had ruled from Bamburgh north of the Tees since the late ninth century. In 1006, while his father was alive but too aged to fight, Uhtred defeated Malcolm II of Scotland at the siege of Durham, and he was rewarded by King Ethelred II with the earldom of all Northumbria.
