1. Dirk VI, Count of Holland

   Dirk VI of Holland (c. 1114 - 5 August 1157), count of Holland between 1121 and 1157. He was the son of Floris II. His son Floris III succeeded him. He married Sofie, Countess of Rheineck, Salm and Bentheim. When his father died he was only 7 years old, and his mother, Petronilla of Saxony governed as a regent. Petronilla supported the uprising of her halfbrother, duke Lothair of Saxony against emperor Henry V, Holy Roman Emperor.

2. Floris III, Count of Holland

   Floris III of Holland (1141 - August 1, 1190), Count of Holland from 1157 to 1190. He was a son of Dirk VI and Sophie of Luxemburg, heiress of Bentheim.

3. Del Langejans

   Delwyn J. Langejans is an innovative American luthier. He handcrafts everything from reversible dualette guitars to harp guitars. A descendant of farmer immigrants from Bentheim, Germany, Langejans was born and raised in Holland, Michigan, where his luthier shop keeps him busy building guitars for such notable musicians as Thom Bresh (Merle Travis's son) and Jars of Clay. His father being a homebuilder, woodworking was a skill Langejans picked up early in life.
