Lewis made his international debut in Malaysia, 1994, playing against South Africa.

Arthur Lake (September 1569-4 May 1626) was Bishop of Bath and Wells and a translator of the King James Version of The Bible. Arthur Lake was born in Southampton in September 1569 the son of Almeric Lake. He attended King Edward VI School, Southampton until he was twelve and on 28 December 1581 he was elected a scholar of Winchester College. He stayed at Winchester until he was eighteen when he became a scholar of New College, Oxford.

Sir Geoffrey Schomberg Arbuthnot KCB, DSO (18 January 1885 - 4 October 1957) was a British Vice Admiral. Born in Havant in Hampshire, Arbuthnot was the son of Admiral Charles Ramsay Arbuthnot and Emily Caroline Schomberg. He fought in the First World War, where he was mentioned in dispatches and was awarded the Distinguished Service Order (DSO) in 1919. He went on to serve the Royal Navy in a number of high posts and was made Naval Aide-de-Camp to King George VI in 1936.
