Jaron a leader, vocalist and pioneer, Jaron was born October 1st, 2007 in Kalamazoo, MI to the parents, Mr. & Mrs. James M. White Sr., business owners of JL Rental Properties L.L.C in the Greater Kalamazoo area. As a youngster Jaron was always getting into things, lighting his passion for music. Karen McCoy , KCAI associate professor in the sculpture department, was nominated as a Partner of the Year for the charter schools of Kansas City, Mo. , through YouthFriends, a school-based mentoring program. Nominees attended the 2006 Employer/Organizational Partner Recognition Luncheon on March 7 at the Kauffman Foundation. Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius was the keynote speaker. - Aimee Surmeier

Noel Dahl , to associate director of admissions. Dahl earned a B.F.A. in painting from the University of Wisconsin and an M.F.A. in painting from California Institute of the Arts. He is in his third year at KCAI. - Katie Mullen
Katie Mullen , assistant director of the media center. Mullen graduated with a B.F.A. degree from KCAI in 2005. While studying at the Art Institute, Mullen worked for three years as a projectionist, from which she gained experience running, maintaining and troubleshooting audio/visual equipment. Mullen is also a videographer who has documented various events, including this year's Surface Design Association fashion show and the KCAI Beaux Arts fashion show. - Terrance Clark
Terrance Clark Graduating from the Kansas City Art Institute in 2005 with a BFA in graphic design it was during his time there that Terrance realized the potential creativity has to make positive change in the world. During the two-year interim between KCAI and his time here now at Pratt, Terrance worked for an exhibit design firm as a graphic designer. - Robin Roath

Jonah Criswell , admissions regional coordinator. A 2005 graduate of KCAI, Criswell gained public speaking experience at KCAI convocation and graduation ceremonies. He also spent four years as a computer lab technician at the college. Criswell studied abroad in Baden-Watenburg, Germany, as part of an independent foreign language study. - Kevin Wright
