1. Franz Lehár

   Franz Lehár was an Austrian composer of Hungarian descent, mainly known for his operettas.

2. Ivan Reitman

   Ivan Reitman is a Slovakian-born, Canadian-raised jewish film actor, producer, and director. He is most remembered for directing and producing a string of comedies, mostly in the 1980s and 1990s. Reitman worked on a number of films after graduating from McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario. He produced two films for director David Cronenberg with "Shivers/They Came from Within/The Parasite Murders" (1974) and "Rabid" (1976).

3. Alaptolma

   Alaptolma is a legendary Magyar tribal chieftain who lived in the first part of the 10th century. According to the medieval Gesta Hungarorum Alaptolma built a castle on the estate of his father, Ketel at confluence of the Danube and Váh (Hungarian: Vág) rivers. This ancient castle became the core of the town of Komárom/Komárno. Today Ketel and Alaptolma are honoured as the legendary founders of the city.

4. Koloman Gögh

   Koloman Gögh was a professional Czechoslovak footballer. As he was born in what is today Czech Republic, played in teams that are currently Slovakian and had ties with of Hungarian minority in Slovakia, there are partially contradicting claims as to whether he was a Czech, Slovakian or Hungarian player. It should be noted that most of his career took place in the Czechoslovak state, and because of his ties to all three nations all three claims are partially correct.

5. Kálmán Gőgh

   Kálmán Gőgh is a former Czech football player. Gőgh was born in Kladno (currently in the Czech Republic), but began playing football in Kolárovo (Slovakia). After that he played for the junior team of Komárno, and fulfilled his national service duties in Dukla Holesov (Czech rep.) as a paratrooper. After military service, Gogh resumed his fooball career at Š.K. Slovan Bratislava.

6. Ladislas The Posthumous

   Ladislaus the Posthumous because he was born at Komárom four months after his father's death. He succeeded immediately as Duke of Austria and head of the House of Habsburg, and he also became nominal King of Bohemia. But his second cousin Frederick V, ruler of Inner Austria, was chosen to succeed Albert II as King of the Romans.

7. Ketel

   Ketel is a legendary Magyar tribal chieftain who lived in the end of the 9th century. According to the medieval Gesta Hungarorum, the leader of the Magyars, Árpád, donated a large estate to Ketel along the Danube and Váh (Vág) rivers where he settled with his people. Today Ketel is honoured as the legendary founder of the city of Komárom/Komárno with his son, Alaptolma.

8. Ferdinand Albert II, Duke of Brunswick-Lünebur

   Ferdinand Albert, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg, was an officer in the army of the Holy Roman Empire. He was prince of Wolfenbüttel during 1735. Ferdinand Albert was the fourth son of Ferdinand Albert I, Duke of Brunswick-Lüneburg. He fought on the side of Emperor Leopold I in the War of the Spanish Succession. In 1704 he became adjutant of the Emperor; in 1707 major general, and in 1711 lieutenant field marshal.

9. Veroni

   I´m a Hungarian girl from Slovakia. I´m a very sporty type girl, my favourite sport is skiing:) People say about me i´m funny and usually friendly. So let´s goand write me a letter and you can know me better;) Oh and i can say i´m very spontageus girl...so i usually don´t plan my life, i just live it! Other important infi about me that I hate when someone want to put reatrain to me. It´s better when you inculcaty in your mind!
