    Joseph Borg (born 19 March 1952) is a Maltese politician and diplomat, associated with the Nationalist Party (the political party currently in government). He was instrumental in the process which led to Malta becoming a member of the European Union in 2004. He was the advisor to the foreign minister on European Union matters from 1989 until 1995, a member of the board of directors of the Maltese Central Bank from 1992 until 1995, and a member of parliament since 1995.

    Tony Gauci is a former proprietor of a clothes shop in Malta. According to evidence given at the Pan Am Flight 103 bombing trial in 2000, Mr Gauci sold the clothes which were said to have been wrapped around the improvised explosive device (IED) that brought the aircraft down. He was the only witness to link Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed Al Megrahi directly to the IED, and was therefore instrumental in convicting Megrahi on 31 January 2001.

    Count Sir Michael Gonzi (16 November, 1885 - 22 January, 1984), was the first Archbishop of Archdiocese of Malta, and the 13th Bishop of Malta. His grand nephew, is the Prime Minister of Malta, Lawrence Gonzi.

    Manwel Dimech was the pre-eminent workers' leader in pre-independence Malta, a journalist, and a writer of novels and poetry. It can be said that Dimech a nationalist/anti-colonialist with a socialist outlook, as he saw one of the main aims of Malta gaining sovereignty the emancipation of the Working Class and women. Most of the policies he advocated were implemented by Socialist Prime Minister Dom Mintoff in the 1970s.
