- David Allan
David Allan (born in Bury, Lancashire on 7 August 1940, educated at Bury Grammar School) is a British television announcer and radio presenter. After nine years working in theatre as a stage manager, he began broadcasting on the offshore station Radio 390 in 1966, before joining BBC Radio 2 to present country music programmes throughout the late 1960s, 1970s and part of the 1980s. From 1969 to 1994 he also worked as a continuity announcer on BBC Television.

Paul Neal "Red" Adair (June 18, 1915 - August 7, 2004) was a renowned American oil field firefighter. He became world famous as an innovator in the highly specialized and extremely hazardous profession of extinguishing and capping blazing, erupting oil wells, both land-based and offshore. Adair was born in Houston, Texas, and attended Reagan High School. He began fighting oil well fires after returning from serving in a bomb disposal unit during World War II.

Mike MacKinnon (born 1960) was a pirate radio DJ based in England. Among the "second wave" of pirate radio DJs or presenters, Mackinnon was known as "Maj" in his early days on radio during the mid to late 1970s, when he had barely left school. Mackinnon mainly operated in the Midlands but was based in North Yorkshire seaside towns such as Bridlington and Scarborough when operating offshore.
