At 24, Monty moved to Raleigh, North Carolina to enter national political fund-raising. Eventually, his job took him to Wilmington where he became interested in acting, which prompted him to head for Hollywood. There he pursued his craft while continuing fund-raising. Eventually he examined his life and decided to take the big challenge - go to NYC and become a screenwriter.
