Christina Onassis was the daughter of the billionaire Aristotle Onassis and Athina Livanos. She also had one brother, Alexandros Onassis (1948-1973) who died in a plane crash in Athens. Born in New York City, she was an awkward-looking child. At the age of seventeen, she had plastic surgery to shrink her nose and remove the dark rings under her eyes. Christina had a stormy relationship with her stepmother, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis and the two never really got along.

Arlene N. Morgan , PhD, Arlene Notoro Morgan is the associate dean of prizes and programs at the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, where she also directs annual "Let's Do It Better!" Workshop on Journalism, Race and Ethnicity. She is the co-author of The Authentic Voice: The Best Reporting on Race and Ethnicity (Columbia University Press, July 2006), an anthology of reporting presented in a unique textbook, DVD and website multimedia format.

Asked why he waited until nearly a year after his retirement to voice his concerns publicly, he responded that it was not the place of active-duty officers to challenge lawful orders from the civilian authorities. General Sanchez , who is said to be considering writing a book, promised further public statements criticizing officials by name.

Peterson , RPR Originally from Center City, Minnesota, Lowell joined La Crosse Court Reporters in 1992 following nearly 32 years as a Court Reporter in Waupaca, WI (1961-63) and La Crosse (1963-92). Lowell started in Waupaca working in the County Court system and later worked as a Circuit Court Reporter for Judges Lincoln Neprud and Peter Pappas in La Crosse County.

Attorney General Bob McDonnell had previously advised the senators they were permitted to debate and vote on eminent domain legislation. Stolle and Norment abstained earlier this year when the Senate voted on eminent domain bills. Stolle said he is not sure those abstentions affected the final outcome of the legislation. The Legislature approved changes this year that restrict a government's ability to forcibly buy private property for economic development purposes.

Taraki Sivaram or Dharmeratnam Sivaram (11 August, 1959- 28 April, 2005) was a popular Tamil journalist of Sri Lanka. He was kidnapped by four men in a white van on April 28, 2005, in front of the Bambalapitya police station. His body was found the next day in the district of Himbulala, near the Parliament of Sri Lanka. He had been beaten and shot in the head.

Jacques Roche was a prominent journalist and poet of Haiti. He was kidnapped on July 10, 2005, and was found dead on July 15, 2005. Television footage showed him tied to a chair and mutilated. Police say he was tortured, his tongue cut out, then shot. On July 16 and 22, members of the UN mission in Haiti (MINUSTAH) and local police arrested three suspects.
